Strong has about 25 years of experience. (Think about that. 25 years as a coach.) Three of them are as head coach.

Why isn't Patterson even being mentioned??? He is way higher on the list than Gundy, imo. He is being mentioned in Auburn's hunt. He would be a GREAT coach and I live in North Alabama where I am surrounded by Bama fans (poor me, right?). The hires that scare these bammers the most are Patterson and Strong. To me this says something! :thumbsup:

Idk about being afraid exactly. And it's just a group of guys I work with (Who are alum, diehard season tick holders), but listening to them talk Patterson is the one they really seem to find threatening. But they think Strong would recruit well.

Btw - they seriously laughed hard at Auburn's hire. I find it and Arky's pretty comical as well.

Patterson should have been offered 4.75 a year long before CS was offered anywhere close to 4 million.

Who knows, but as far as I've seen his name has gotten zero play during this search.
