First responder here. It was tough to tell last night, the extent of the damages. All power out and smoke was covering everything. I couldn't see 20 yards in front of me. It's bad, but I don't think it's quite the devastation as initially expected. Most roads were blocked into early this morning by power lines or trees, so I think later this afternoon we will know full extent of damages to homes and cabins in the mountains.

TDOT driving thru Gatlinburg..seems like it dodged a bullet overall...still lots of people lost homes and businesses

I'm sure there will be quite a few. Anyone that's ever tried driving in that area knows how hard it can be to get around in spots because of traffic flow.This is tragic it looks like there will be fatalities
