Surely you realize nearly every SEC team has some pretty awful stuff happen from time to time. So it's UF's week this week, it'll be UGA, Bama or LSU next week.

Were you okay with UT representing the SEC east in Atlanta when they had, what, 5 players accused of rape?

I was definitely not trying to bash UF for their character defects off the field. I was simply asking a Florida fan his or her opinion on the recent string of news. We all know Tennessee has had just as much if not more than their fare share of arrests and team suspensions due to violation of team rules. I didn't mean to anger you my man. I apologize for that. I just wanted to ask a question to a gator fan. I don't have social media and don't know any gator fans here in Kentucky. But to answer your question, if 5 players on Tennessee's roster got CONVICTED of rape then I would have major problems, internally, knowing 5 major contributors to the success of the football team were convicted rapists. I don't necessarily think that was the case in any year that Tennessee played in Atlanta.

Yes, but we have to win the East first.

I'm staring at your Remaining football schedule. You will have a maximum of 2 SEC losses which would be LSU and GEORGIA...are you suggesting Georgia and Tennessee wins out and their will be a three way tie in the east???

Either your attempt at humor is noted, or I'm not sure you fully comprehended my response to your question.

Not sure what the recent string of news has to do with UF playing in the SEC title game IF we win the East.

We had a kid take a banned OTC supplement and another kid commit criminal acts that will likely get him booted from school, let alone the football team.

What exactly should UF fans do IF we go on to win the East. Boycott?

40 percent of the UT fan base hopes that, somehow, this will help them back into the SEC championship game.

4000 percent of them hope that, at last, it means we won't make it.

They'd rather see any team other than Florida in that game.

Why does all the crap hit the fan after we play them every year. We are their "snowball on a hill" win and then two weeks later the wheels fall off.

Dam i wish we played them later in the season.

In my opinion, Grier's mistake was posting his weight gain on social media with his dad. 172 lbs. to 215 lbs. (20% gain) in six months or so is excessive with out supplements.

It's easy to get the wrong stuff at GNC because they change the names all the time. The FDA takes it out of stores, they change the name and it's back again.

Keep it off the interweb and he's still playing. Football media guides are notorious for having false height and weight. No, one would have batted an eye.

Just my :twocents:.

WTH is wrong with that dude? He should be going to prison over those charges, but will only receive a slap on the wrist and probation.

I'm not angry, I've just learned over the years that no high profile SEC team should throw stones at another for their players making dumb choices and running afoul of the law. As soon as you do, one of your players is curb-stomping a cop outside a bar one night after hours, or getting busted for armed robbery. It happens at nearly all schools, unfortunately.

However, NONE of these teams are about to admit that their team doesn't deserve postseason play if they're good enough. Heck, Auburn won the NC with all sorts of NCAA questions hovering around Cam Newton and FSU won the NC with a team full of absolute criminals, an arguably corrupt and compliant Police Dpt, and a known thief and accused rapist at QB.

Miami won 5 national titles with criminal and NCAA infractions going on daily. Hell, that's looked back upon and glamorized and celebrated now.

Boy, this stuff has gotten hilarious. Grier isn't 215lbs, never has been and probably never will be until he's in his 30's. Where did he post that? He's 201lbs, his weight is listed in numerous places, you can go research. And if you don't trust what's listed in several places, trust your eyes. There's no way Grier is 220ish pounds. Hell, UF's MLB Morrison is listed at 225 and he's twice as thick as Grier. Grier gained roughly 20lbs in two full years on campus, from 181 to 201. All the other stuff about a 40lb weight gain in a year is silly and untrue.
