Exactly what I did, but you seem to have had a problem with that one.
The reference to the Crusades came about when someone tried to pass off Christianity as a tolerant religion. I simply was pointing out that the church has a long history of barbaric hypocrisy.

You seemed to compare where we said that we respected a homosexuals opinion, not agree but respect, and then you posted that it is ludacris to respect a murderer for what they did which is completely correct...while not a direct comparison, still a comparison, if we would have never said anything about respecting a homo's opinion the murder card would have never been laid...all the same...eace2:
A whole bunch. Is that some sort of defense for the Crusades and the Salem Witch Trials? I'm a desecendent of Devil Anse Hatfield, does that mean I have free reign to go around killing McCoys?Hat, do you know how many Christians were matyred and murdered by the Jews and the Roman's when Christianity first came to be???

No, LOL. I just don't understand why people point out that Christian's are some sort of intolerant people. Every religion, including mine, is guilty of something that has happened in the past. Whether it be mass murder, wars, witch trials, or whatever else you can come up with here. I am not them and they are not me. I am not tolerant of alot of things because it conflicts with my religious beliefs and if people don't like it, then oh well. I don't agree with others but I respect the fact they have the right just as I do to make mistakes and learn from them.
If these people could convince me that it was actually an informed consent, then I would have no problem with it. I doubt they would be able to convince me though. If you want to bring up that they might be able to convince others, so be it. If they convince a majority of the voting populus or voting officials, then it will be legislated. That is how a liberty works. I can live with it.It is a serious question. You don't think some religion would ever test an idea like this? Take a look into the Irish Travelers in South Carolina or "gypsies" as some people call them. It was your idea I was buidling off of, don't discard my question because you don't like the question. Some religions may feel a 10 year old can make that decision.
