General Flynn completely exonerated

Upholding the “rule of law” would require that he be treated the same as everybody else. If the argument is that what happened to him was wrong, that is a systemic problem that requires systemic changes. Same thing with Trump. Same thing with Carter Page.

“The contortions the government has engaged in to contradict its own findings are not pretty,” Gleeson offered at one point—saying that Sullivan has never overseen a case where the government has so thoroughly backtracked after nearly securing a conviction and positing that they would never offer such a favorable view of a criminal defendant in any other case not including Michael Flynn.

...

There’s no overstating how damaging it is to the court, to the judiciary of which this court is a part, and to the department itself–to create a new set of rules that only apply to Michael Flynn and will never apply to anyone else,” he added later on.

To quote Lin Manuel Miranda’s rap battling Thomas Jefferson:
These are wise words
Enterprising men quote ‘em
Don’t act surprised, you guys
‘Cause I wrote ‘em.

Fun fact....

Lloyd's syndicate originated to cover ships crossing the ocean to america.

A couple of rich dudes would get together at a bar and place the name of a ship and cargo that was willing to pay to be covered on a chalk board.

The guys who were willing to cover the cargo etc would sign their names under the ship on a board.

This is where the term underwriters comes from.

I just read the DOJ dismissal. Its 20 pages of Trump slurperism, trying to rewrite the history of Russian collusion and totally disregarding Flynn's own actions.

LOL, they don't even try to hide that it is a purely political document!

Flynn is not exonerated. All that has happened is that Trump's authoritarianism has reached a whole new level. An incomprehensible level.
This aged well. Guess what LG, Judge Sullivan has dismissed the case BWAAAAAHAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA

You might want to read the judge's order of dismissal.

READ: Judge Emmet Sullivan's opinion in Michael Flynn case - CNNPolitics

Says the DOJ's rationale to dismiss is full of crap, that they, Trump, and Flynn are and have been lying, THAT THERE WAS COLLUSION and everyone knows it. So she denied the dismissal based on the governments motion and granted due solely to the pardon.

It's not like it was written by an impartial jurist without an ax to grind.

The axe to grind is that she realizes that DOJ has been corrupted by Trump and Barr, that Flynn intentionally lied to the FBI and others repeatedly in an effort to cover up what he had done and why, and that Trump and DOJ have engage in a course of conduct designed to protect him so that he would not hurt Trump.

Yeah, that's it. Has nothing to do with personal politics or being corrupted.
