George Floyd Protest/Riots

Just wait for it.

People shoot each other all the time in inner cities , what logical conclusion did we come to when you take law enforcement out of the equation.. less shootings because cops are
bad ? Logically over time there will be more violent crime not less , people don’t police themselves . Any void we create ( defunding / disbanding the police ) will be back filled by someone or some group . I have no idea what the policies are there about the police and protesters interaction but I don’t see a police presence at all .

Just picking out something you said, "people don't police themselves". That's the crux of the problem right there. Police have failed to police themselves as well, which has led us to where we are. I think all of these events are an overreaction to that fact. I think the idea of defunding the police is both stupid and dangerous, but police reform is desperately needed. The bad cops need to be rooted out rather than ignored or defended. The "blue wall" does exist, and it's up to the officers themselves to tear it down. Loyalty to your fellow officer is one thing, but if you knowingly ignore a fellow officer breaking the law, or the oath he has sworn to uphold, you are complicit and part of the problem. There needs to be more accountability from our police forces. And we need to find better, safer, and nonlethal ways to apprehend suspects. At the same time, the general public itself needs to know and educate themselves that cooperation with police is the best policy. Resisting arrest is stupid and never works out well for the resister. Let the police do their job, then let the courts do theirs. We need change from all sides. This isn't a one sided problem, which is how many seem to want to address it.

Sounds like a leadership issue to be honest . If you are in a group working for a company ( for example ) the group screws up , the leadership of the group is the ones that get their azzes chewed off , because their bosses are having theirs chewed on from on high . Here we have the same issue but somehow the leadership of all these deep blue cities point to the group they are in charge of and have been for decades as the problem . It’s amazing to watch Dems leaders slip/ slide around and out of blame .

Let's put aside the politics here. This doesn't just happen in Democrat controlled cities or states. This is happening everywhere. We can't just blame politics. As I said, this is a problem that needs to be addressed from ALL sides. And I can agree that leadership within the police forces themselves is an issue, but it's just part of that issue. Hell, Chauvin was the damn training officer. Two of the four cops in the Floyd case were rookies that Chauvin was supposed to be training. But Chauvin's record itself speaks to the failure we see among our police forces. How does someone with that many complaints become the training officer? Is that really who you want your rookies to emulate. There needs to be a culture shift among the boys in blue that calls for more accountability and more restraint.

That would be nice to put away the politic but you can’t . Run the leadership up to the top in all PDs after you get to the top ask who is his or her boss . So we couldn’t dictate policey until after they burned down Minneapolis, but now some how the city leaders found the power to dictate all policies having to do with the PDs? 👀

Remove the ingrained culture of retaliation from Superiors and peers that is so prevalent within police forces against whistleblowers and more cops would willingly report bad behavior.

Those that do step forward to do the right thing are reviled for it and likely will never speak up again. Once you see the crap your peers deal with over reporting another cop you’re much less likely to willingly subject yourself to the same and so the endless cycle of silence continues.

Unfortunately, the concept of nobody likes a tattletale has deep roots that have been firmly planted and nurtured since childhood, the reality of which blossoms in adulthood when there is more on the line than simply sitting at a lunch table alone.

Man is shot dead at Breonna Taylor protest in Louisville after gunman fires on demonstrators in Jefferson Square Park in the city - sparking panic among protesters

A man has been shot dead at a Breonna Taylor protest in Louisville after a white man opened fire on peaceful demonstrators in a crowded park, according to local police.

At least two people were shot - one fatally - in the incident at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, at around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies performed life-saving measures on an unidentified male victim but he died at the scene.

The shooting took place at the park that has become a focal point for the city's protests demanding justice for Taylor, the black EMT who was gunned down by cops in her apartment back in March.

Disturbing footage on social media shows the moment the shooter aims his gun at the masses of people peacefully protesting and fires multiple shots.

On May 28, seven people were shot in a shooting near City Hall.

This stuff continues to stun me. I am disappointed that they cancelled the order. Anarchy won.

I would have doubled the order and waited at night for someone to try and burn my business down . If you don’t like my business then don’t shop at it but I would never give into terrorist tactics .
