George Floyd Protest/Riots

Is it? From the article, it sounds like they can find a lot of those savings by just overhauling how they pay overtime.

Seems like real conservatives would be in favor of cutting PD budgets just about everywhere in the country.
One of the wonderful things Comrade DeBlasio did was to cut the street crimes division. I'm not sure what they do, but I am guessing it isn't crowd control at Mets games. Street crime has gone up. Shocking.

I understand the frustration and downright anger to some extent but I think the time has come for cooler heads to prevail. Real discussion with real solutions, not absolutes and mandates that lead to nowhere.

It's time for a lot of people to get very uncomfortable. Police tactics and in some cases roles need to be evaluated and altered. With that being said the biggest change needs to come from within. Everyone wants to place blame elsewhere because it's easier than being responsible and that's where the discussion always breaks down.

As for BLM, I can't get behind their movement especially after seeing what their leaders advocate for. Is time for them to look to the person to their left and right, to understand that person is infinitely more likely to harm them than any officer. It's like standing in front of a burning building and demanding everyone pay attention to the burning bush.

Not going to happen. All we can hope is that the majority of people in this country regardless of anything, are more decent, than not.

What percentage? But, all we see and are inundated with is people, who we shouldn't be inundated with and by.

Good and decent people are busy living their lives, working, taking care of their business, and when you are done with all that you have little time for much else. The entirety of the "media" and any platform anymore is filled with trash and ego driven monetary seeking douches. So, take away all the people we see constantly, who do nothing but run their mouths and are empty talking heads, and basically gossiping hens, and we could have a much better feel for the reality of our population.

That's the issue. We are going to over react because the two party system has left this country in a place where you cant compromise.

You see the cops go bye bye, then at the next crisis the government acts all shocked and then over reacts creating the New Police.

Federal police force is already being planned
