One of the wonderful things Comrade DeBlasio did was to cut the street crimes division. I'm not sure what they do, but I am guessing it isn't crowd control at Mets games. Street crime has gone up. Shocking. Is it? From the article, it sounds like they can find a lot of those savings by just overhauling how they pay overtime.
Seems like real conservatives would be in favor of cutting PD budgets just about everywhere in the country.
I understand the frustration and downright anger to some extent but I think the time has come for cooler heads to prevail. Real discussion with real solutions, not absolutes and mandates that lead to nowhere.
It's time for a lot of people to get very uncomfortable. Police tactics and in some cases roles need to be evaluated and altered. With that being said the biggest change needs to come from within. Everyone wants to place blame elsewhere because it's easier than being responsible and that's where the discussion always breaks down.
As for BLM, I can't get behind their movement especially after seeing what their leaders advocate for. Is time for them to look to the person to their left and right, to understand that person is infinitely more likely to harm them than any officer. It's like standing in front of a burning building and demanding everyone pay attention to the burning bush.
That's the issue. We are going to over react because the two party system has left this country in a place where you cant compromise.I understand the frustration and downright anger to some extent but I think the time has come for cooler heads to prevail. Federal police force is already being plannedThat's the issue. We are going to over react because the two party system has left this country in a place where you cant compromise.
You see the cops go bye bye, then at the next crisis the government acts all shocked and then over reacts creating the New Police.
