Goodbye 102.5! How many years ago was that Preds rally? Is that his biggest accomplishment in 20+ years of radio?

At least we'll never have to wonder what the nightly Preds attendance is again. And I know where to go for 24hr Vandy baseball coverage.

I'm not even a big 3HL fan. I think the morning and mid-day shows are much better true sports talk shows.

That said, I've tried to give Daunic's show a chance. It's essentially the same stuff he did with Plaster (same regular guests, etc). It is practically unlistenable. Not only is it completely stale and focused on subjects that I'm sure most people in this market don't care about, the production is horrendous. It sounds like a spotty AM signal.

How in the world did he sell that show into syndication? No one outside of West End is going to listen.

Maybe 102.5 should work on their station power...I can barely pick the station up outside of Nashville.

Anyway, this was hardly surprising. Everyone knew Plaster would end up back with Daunic. The only difference from 2003 when he jumped to 104.5 from 99.7 is this time Plaster is the one who's going to get slaughtered in the ratings. 3HL will continue to destroy them.

I don't mind the Preds talk that Plasmo and Willy will have since I'm a season ticket holder and refuse to pay the pathetic Tennessean a dime for their "coverage" of sports, but when they start talking Braves baseball and baseball in general is when they lose me.

Almost a year is a long time to be gone. He'll find the landscape has changed.

He's on right now. I can already barely keep my eyes open. Not to mention James Franklin is on too.

Side note I clicked on the link and the Tennessean told me I have only 14 free articles left. Do they actually think people will pay for the Tennessean?

He's going to get creamed by the 3HL.
I quit listening to 3HL a long time ago. George may be a Vandy homer, but he will talk about sports with some sort of authority and knowledge. The 3HL sucks. It is like listening to some teen agers bantering back and forth.

^^^^ This is right, the 3hl has absolutely no idea what they are talking about when it comes to sports. They can talk about pop culture all day but that is it.

agreed - my wife likes 3HL so what does that tell you?

I'd rather listen to ESPN radio podcast than that garbage

Thank God he is back. 3HL is crap. They pander and prod.

Like that chic that was gettin on your nerves, or that boss you hated; once they are FOR REAL gone, you miss the hell out of them. The new boss sucks, and the new chic, well she is just that NEW. Screw 3HL.

Glad to hear his voice again. Damn the torpedoes.

I agree - but it wouldnt shock me if he gives 3HL a run for their money.
Clay Travis has fallen out of favor with a lot of vols fans in nashville.

Plaster ,for reasons unbeknownst to me, he does have some die hard fans that absolutely live and die with him.

That's why Vols fans listen. He's no different than Finebaum. He rips on UT, Bama, UK, etc because that's what gets people to listen. If he was doing nothing but singing UT's praises all the time, the other fans wouldn't listen, and UT fans wouldn't be nearly as invested.

Plaster ,for reasons unbeknownst to me, he does have some die hard fans that absolutely live and die with him.

I think Plaster's fans are dying by the day, since they're all 65+.
