cant - work wont allow streaming. Hopefully they'll land somewhere soon much like they did when they switched from 102.9 to 97.1.

Might have to join their VIP site and download the podcast every day

If you've got a smart phone you can stream it through the iheart radio app.

I liked B and T about 10 years ago but they grew pretty stale to me. I've been listening to Free Beer and Hot Wings on 102.9. But anything is better than John Boy and Billy.

I would agree that Vandy sports are likely headed to 102.5. It's funny how certain frequencies in Nashville seem to change every 2-5 years. 97.1, 102.5, and 106.7 have changed numerous times in the past decade.

I feel like the big FCC crackdown happened about 10 years ago. They really cracked down on the things you can and can't say. I feel like this had a DIRECT impact on the quality of the bob and Tom show. They can't even play half the material that they used too.

when 102.9 switched to Free Beer I tried to listen to them. I just couldnt. It was like listening to a bunch of 17 yr old boys giggling about pecker jokes. JB&B are worse. Probabaly the stupidest attempts of humor on the radio. At least B&T have a consistant stream of comedians in so its different humor every day.

One thing for sure - nothing ever stays the same for Nashville radio. Well, unless youre a country station.

I remember a few years ago Vandy pulled off of 104.5, Plaz was quite upset about it so I assume 104.5 tried to keep them. Never made since to me because it opened the door for the Vol Network to grab the most powerful sports signal in town.

Doesn't 102.5 have deals in place with Alabama already? I'd imagine Alabama gets better ratings in Nashville than Vandy.

EDIT: ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE - University of Alabama Official Athletic Site - Multimedia Double checked and 102.5 is a member of the Alabama radio network

I listened to JB&B for about 6 years from when they started on 104.5 The Arrow and then switched to 105.9. When I realized that each show they do is roughly an hour of actual "new" material, I switched. Most of their show is playing the same old rock songs each day, then some of their stuff is repeated segments, either "classic" segments from years ago or from earlier in the week. Add to that 90% of the time their "new" stuff they are takling NASCAR, you have them doing pretty much the same show every day.

In fact a few weeks ago I tuned in to see if they maybe had changed anything, and nope, it sounded like the exact same show I heard 15 years ago.

Someone on Vandymania claims that since Willy returned on 102.5, they've cut into about 24% of 3HL's market. Anyone know if this is true?

That seem tough to believe. Daunic returned to the air only a few months into 3HL's move to drivetime. Since 104.5 is currently #1 in the 25-54 demo, while 102.5 is 19th, I can't imagine that Daunic could have possibly pulled 1/4 of 3HLs listeners in that time.

this may or may not be related but it was announed today on 97.1 that the station had been sold and a new format beginning on Monday (7/16). While they wont have Bob and Tom the bigger question is what will they do with Vandy sports. Evidently there is some concern about the station continuing to air their games due. It would make sense that they move to 102.5 as their loyal mouthpiece is now a part of the station but a move this close to kickoff is nuts. Humm....

VU doesn't have a say in the matter, Cumulus sold the station. They may put Vandy programming on another one of their signals, it won't be 104.5, obviously. Vandy is off 97.1 for good, it becomes a Christian station Monday.

Looking forward to being able to listen to sports talk radio again during afternoon drive time starting on Monday. No more of the incessant babbling that takes place on on 104.5 in the afternoons.

I would be happy if they could pull doug matthews for that friday football show.

I also liked what they did for Friday night football

Zone still doing the HS football coverage. Plaster never had anything to do with that.

Unless you like hearing about Braves baseball then you won't hear much sports talk on 102.5 with the occasional Preds update.

Don't ever take anything from Candymania as any source of truth. That's the biggest clown site with the most paranoid, schizophrenic moderator on the face of the earth.

I've never seen an opposing fanbase obsess over UT athletics and make up more lies about UT like that pathetic site.

I like to hear about all sports. I am a sports junkie. I love baseball, football - college and NFL, basketball, and hockey. George discusses each.

My favorite segments were the Nick Stick Hunter and John McClain segments.

If you want to hear the UT depth chart repeated ad nauseam, listen to Hyams.

There's better information on volnation's NFL forum than what John McClain has. If you rely on him as an "expert" its not surprising you'd like George.

I always loved the Titans insider from Houston. Wonder if there is a Dodgers radio show that has an insider based out of Brooklyn?

George touches base on some sports, but only mainly talks Braves. I don't listen to Hyams or much sports talk. I can get what I want from the internet without listening to the morons that call in to the talk shows. I'd rather listen to XM and my own music.
