got a chance to click over yesterday and they were talking ....... BASEBALL!!!! what a shocker
Then clicked over to see what was happening on the zone and found out Doug Matthews has revamped his weekend shows so it doesn't sound like he is going anywhere, they have the houston chronicle guy locked up on multiple shows, so I am not sure what Plaster is gonna do for CFB and NFL talk, lord knows he cant do it alone. He makes Clay Travis look like a genius when it comes to fball. Guess he will have Kelly Holcomb.
Hopefully he gets Eddie Fogler during bball season i enjoy his analysis

If that's supposed to be a selling point they are in trouble. Holcomb sucks; his "aw shucks I'm a country boy" routine got old really fast the last time he was a regular on Plaster's show.

Yeah I think he is terrible on the radio.
I had the opportunity to meet Holcomb via youth sports and he is a great guy but he is very good on the radio

Everytime this sort of thing happens it seems like the band always gets back together. Look for the best of the 104.5 crew to be on 102 in the coming months.

Doubt it. The majority of 104.5's on-air talent just got contract extensions from the station's new ownership.

Guests like McClain can move around, but he's not on 104.5 because of Plaster, and he won't go from one of the highest-rated sports stations in the country to a rim-shot signal with tiny ratings.

Plaster, Donnic, and McFarland didnt even go to the UT picnic in Nashville tonite. Went to Greer stadium to throw out the first pitch for the Sounds. Goes to show that 102.5 has no interest in any UT audience.

I think running Alabama games proves that.

Not really since UT is/was contracted with 104.5 and Vandy was on 97.1 and now 95.5/650. What's left? stealing MTSU from 560? Considering Bama is on a run these days with a couple of NC its only business smart to broadcast their games.

Pretty sure that Thom A and 560 WNSR was at the picnic last nite leaving Plaster and his cast of village idiots being the only sports talk not there.

I listened some this week. It wasn't terrible but I felt like I was back in 2003 again. Pretty much the whole time was people calling in saying how great it was he was back. Other than that it was Braves and Predators.

It will be interesting to see the ratings. I'm going to guess Plaster's initial return will be a nice bump but I want to see them in a month from now. I have a feeling 104.5 is going to rout them.

They have a right to run the games and I have the right to never listen to their station because of it. Buck Fama.

Welcome to 1945 Vanderbilt. Here's your complimentary transistor radio.

as true as that is, WLAC is a clear channel station so it boost their audience without lifting a finger. That was a big selling point for UT back when we were on it - you could travel the entire southeast and be able to pick up a UT game. I listened to John Ward call a bb game while in Destin one year.

Yes, even though it's AM I'd say it's a step up from 97.1, and is better than 102.5 who you can't even hear outside of Nashville very well.
