Georgia’s best

No they couldn't have. Or they would have...

Just not true. Did you not watch the game. They threw all over us the 1st half and barely through it the 2nd half. It was raining and they knew the only way to let us back in it would be turnovers. They knew they could shut us down and didn't respect our pass game at all. If they wanted to keep throwing it would have gotten ugly. It's not rocket science..anybody who knows football will agree with me.

If they could have won by 40 why didn’t they? The rain didn’t stop them. It wasn’t raining that hard. Echos of BVS. They were better but every Dawg fan we passed when leaving had a little pucker with our last 2 drives.

The game was definitely not over at halftime. We received the second half kickoff and we punch it in its 24-13, maybe 24-14.

Kirby did not left off the gas, his strategy was control the clock, run the ball. He was smart enough to limit UT’s possessions and did not want the game to turn into a shootout.

He let off the gas.

They could have beaten us by 30 if they wanted. The rain saved us from that. I do believe a neutral site it would be a better game, but GA is a very bad matchup for us. They may be the only team in the country with elite Corners and Secondary that can cover our receiver's. Obviously corners will get neat occasionally but Hooker was off yesterday on his deep passes. But let's not get it twisted, it could have been way worse if they had wanted too. Mother Nature helped keep it respectful..
That's simply unknowable. Had they been more aggressive, they could have thrown a pick six that completely changed the momentum leading to a TN comeback.

They did exactly what they thought would give them the best chance to win the game.

If the linemen hadn't gotten the yips, we were looking at a far different game. And as far as it goes with the passing game, maybe a few quick slants would have helped. It was obvious that the dogs were paying attention to the long ball throws. But HEY, it is what it is. I would LOVE to see a replay. I think that Georgia is beatable.
Yeah the false starts absolutely killllled us.

It's why we struggled with Pitt. Kept getting behind the sticks.

Not saying we win, but they don't beat our butts.

yeah, plus we were playing our 6th super hyped up game. That's a huge emotional drain. They were playing their 2nd one and the first one was in week 1. Give us time, we'll see them on a neutral field in the playoffs and it'll be a different story.
If that happens I will have truly witnessed poetic justice.

Georgia played perfect ball. Didn't miss a single tackle. They will not be able to do that again when we meet them in the playoffs

We got their best and it was a 13 point game. Let’s do it again on a neutral sight. I was at the game. we played poorly. Dogs played well and had home field. They are beatable.
I’m in both camps. Tennessee did not show up on offense, and Georgia could have put at least 14 more on the board. But they also had the luxury of watching everybody else fail on tape, and Tennessee was shell shocked from the get go. I do still think Georgia wins in a rematch due to talent alone, but the next game won’t mirror the first one either. 35-28 and the Vols inherit more from the hyperbole than Georgia. We have become the new pop culture darling.

The scoreboard said 13, but my eyeballs said 28.
Yep like the UF game. We had a 3 score lead with like 6 min left. The only time the game was a little in question was the last minute with onside kick recovery and threatening at the end. UGA shut it down to run the clock. Also similar to LSU…they aren’t as bad as they showed against us and we aren’t as bad as we showed vs UGA.

Respectfully I don’t buy this at all. Any coach who takes their foot off the gas against our offense is either dumb or inexperienced. Kirby Smart is neither. They put up 55 on Vandy, half of those were in the 2nd half, were they taking their foot off the gas then? If they could’ve scored more on us yesterday you’d better believe they would’ve.
The rain and their defense was manhandling us. He held back.

This is such a bad take on so many levels. You can’t in one sentence say “They knew the only way to let us back in would be turnovers” and then say “If they wanted to keep throwing it would have gotten ugly”

When Kirby got a comfortable lead he went into clock burn mode to limit our possessions. That’s not the same as letting off the gas. And besides, when has Kirby EVER let off the gas? Especially against us??

Tennessee will not play Georgia again this year, but LSU might get a crack at them in the SECCG. In that event, I'll hop on the Geaux Tigers Train for the evening.

Final was 27-13, so that's 14 points.

Dawgs only threw the ball 4 times in the 2nd half. They went ball control and clock management. Game was over at the half.

A team that averages 50 points scored one total TD in garbage time.

Vols are one of the best teams in the country but they are not beating Georgia with a mediocre secondary.
The point was y'all scored what you could. There is no garbage time. Each quarter has 15 minutes.. One field goal in the second half was not that much. Our defense stepped up. Our offense stepped out....

Nobody is beating UGA unless they have comparable talent. Which is to say top level recruiting (like Georgia has) or else. And that was made CRYSTAL clear on Saturday..

Hate to be this guy , but Ga could have won by 40.

I'm just a fan and not an x's and o's fan. Explain to me how or why Kirby would take his foot off the gas against such a quick strike offense like ours? Because I've seen people on here saying that but I'm not buying it. That's dangerous. You hammer down on Heupel's and Kiffin's. You blow them out if you're capable. We had opportunities. A few overthrown passes by Hooker was a huge difference on the score Saturday.

Not incorrect. We played like ass.
Tennessee did not "play" bad. We could not execute our plans because Georgia was too big and physical with our kids. We have to be bigger and stronger and tougher. Mentally and physically. This is just like Alabama when Kirby & Scott Cochran were at Alabama. We never rose to that challenge. We never beat the real Alabama.

And if we intend to beat the real Georgia, then we have to play big boy football. Or we'll never win the East.

So garbage time to you is when Georgia was still playing their regulars? That’s amusing. I’m not sure why you continue to hang out here with your little digs when you can be hanging out in that little plexiglass enclosed doghouse. I don’t think Smokey wants to play with you, at least not today.

I've played professional football.
Ive scouted and helped recruit college athletes.

Yes, I know football and YOU clearly are missing WHY UGA couldn't do what they wanted. It was our 10th ranked run defense that finally showed up.

You act is if no adjustments were made based off the big plays early in the game.

The rain affected our passing. The noise meant they could time up their blitz every single time. They had these things in their control with a lead. To try and pass would have caused turnovers from them. So they tried a variety of run formations and NADA.

The game was 24- 6 at half. Should have been 21-13 but Hooker got impatient. Because we were moving the ball that drive.
Then the rain came..2nd half and nobody could do anything they wanted to do except UGA'S defense with a lead with the noise and rain in their favor.
