Georgia fans on Jancek and Martinez?

It seems to me that Georgia has always underachieved under Richt.

And I'm not saying that as an insult. All of that instate talent and virtually nothing to show for it. It makes no sense.

A lot of that can be directed at Martinez. Richt has had some great offensive teams, but less than stellar on D. From '05 to '09 Richt stayed loyal to Martinez because they were best friends. Finally was forced to fire him. Without Martinez I think Richt has a lot more success during those seasons.

Hard to keep all of the talent in state, as TN should know. HS players now-a-days have no loyalty to their home state and often go to the highest bidder.

I think Richt will get a NC before he leaves UGA. Planets have to align.

Cincinnati's defensive stats were impressive under Jancek and Sripling. I think we are good to go. Sal was a joke of a D coordinator

This^^...OJT works wonders and you usually aren't as sharp your first few years until you graduate from the school of hard knocks.

Couldn't care less what the fans think, most of the Georgia coaches think they will do well here.

bottom line with these two coaches is they better have a much improved defense especially after jones has been videoed saying we would or these two will be the first ran out of here on a rail, i don't believe these two care much about tennessee traditions, i mean how could they? they are from georgia. only way they can prove other wise is to show it on the field. we will see.

Richt, had his chance at a title, he lost to bama and they won it. I don't think richt will get back to that position again.

Jancek is from MI, Martinez is from FL.

Agree. If Richt wasn't smart enough to call a timeout at the end of the SECCG for a legit shot at the end zone I don't see him getting it done in the future. Veteran coaches don't make mistakes like that.

who cares what georgia fans think, they were bad there, but it does not mean that they will be bad here, people learn and adapt.

Jones knows his ass is in the line here with the defensive staff hires. We're the best, most competitive league in the nation, and it's only intensifying.

Dooley didn't give a flying **** after UK 2011. That was clear when he brought in Sal and let all the other cats walk out the door. If these guys don't cut it, Jones has to get guys in here who can... immediately.

Bottom line, he wouldn't give these guys a shot out of loyalty, he believes they'll get it done. Let's hope he's right.

Jancek only called defensive plays for one year at Cincinnati before 2012 Tim Banks called all the defensive sets/plays. Jancek's job was to get them ready but he had no game day responsibility. Jancek did call plays in 2012 and they were ok but they also played a horrible schedule.

Maybe Jancek and Martinez are like fine wine in that they get better over time. I hope so.
