Georgia fans on Jancek and Martinez?

Keep in mind there were people on this site wanting Fulmer to fire Chavis. Most "fans" are idiots that know nothing about football.

What do you seriously expect them to say? Of course they are gonna trash them

Martinez was actually a very good DB's coach under Van Gorder. He is a very good recruiter, has great connections in the state of FL and built great relationships in the state of GA. He was a pretty good DC, not great, but pretty good. He was the scapegoat of the 2008 season, and after 2009 Dawg fans had had enough.

Jancek is another story, nothing to say on that.

The UgA fans I know say a lot of bad stuff about the OC they have now lol.

This is true. Bobo was very inconsistent and predictable in the past though and many fans will not let that go. Bobo had a very good year last year and will probably land a HC job somewhere next year if he has another good year.

The fans were upset that Bama gained 350+ rushing yards....in one game. That game fell on Grantham.
So fire him? At what point does Richt step up like a man and take some of the heat? It's always the assistants fault. Same story different year.

I didn't say anything about firing anybody. CMR stood up for the entire team, did not place blame on anybody.

Do you think Dooley deserves more blame then Sunseri for our defense last year? Other then the fact that Dooley hired him it falls on Sunseri. A HC at the college level can only do so much.

Dont get me wrong, I hope he stays a long time. With the talent Georgia produces every year, you guys should be competing for NC's every year. I live in Chattanooga, I talk to a lot of dirty dawg lovers. All is not well, whether you admit it or not. :hi:

I think "inconsistent" best sums Martinez up. Here's an article that best describes his UGA career: The Case Against Willie Martinez - Dawg Sports Good man. Ineffective DC.

I agree on Jancek, no comment.

He had to in order to save his job.

Well that tells me they were not getting the job done as co-defensive coordinators for Georgia. My problem with Jancek is not what happened at UGA it's his lack of experience as a defensive coordinator at this level. One year as co-defensive coordinator at UGA and one year as DC at Cincinnati just isn't enough to prepare him for the SEC. Yes he did spend two years as the co-dc at Cincinnati as well but it was just a title. He didn't call their defensive plays/alignments during the games. It also has to do with recruiting Jancek is a sitting duck for negative recruiting. There were "rumors" that CBJ was going to pursue Brian Van Gorder but nothing ever came of it and he was just hired by the Jets. Oh well Jancek may surprise. I hope so.....

Yes, I blame Dooley and his defeatist way of coaching for everything. Thankfully he is out with the assistant that he hired.

This is how I feel. I think CWM will be fine as DB coach..actually good.

I really am worried about Janceck at DC..I think that may have been a lazy hire by Butch. Hope I am wrong there.

Agree. If Richt wasn't smart enough to call a timeout at the end of the SECCG for a legit shot at the end zone I don't see him getting it done in the future. Veteran coaches don't make mistakes like that.

How does calling a timeout keep a pass from getting deflected? The playcall was fine.

The protection was not called right and/or the OL was tired. No way a quick fade pattern is supposed to get tipped. Should've called a TO to regroup and focus.

Thats just not true. If you watch the play, it wasn't even an o-lineman that got beat. A LB blitzed off the edge and timed it perfectly. The RB stepped up to pick up the blitz and before he could even block him, the blitzer went vertical and got his hands up. Just a great individual effort.

I hear you. Just hard to think they were prepared for the blitzer. No reason to get a fade pattern tipped. That means somebody was untouched.
