Georgia made a big push in attempt to hire WR coach Kelsey Pope

Didn't dispute that, just sounds like his wife is a snitch and we are otherwise at a very "snitches get stitches" time in the history of the program.
We should neither lie, cheat, nor steal or tolerate those who do. Ever. Without exception.

Our very position of authority in matters against the NCAA is built on having that high ground. It’d be folly to fire a whistleblower at this point, especially when she was blowing the whistle on our strongest rival!

Dang, she sounds like a narc. Do we need to be worrying that she's a snitch for the NCAA right now? We are in kind of a big fight with them ourselves. Lol.
A narc would have went straight to the NCAA with this situation at UGA. She reported this to UGA to protect the institution itself. LOL!

Lol that you believe this. We've been pushing the envelope with NIL as much as anybody. It was a calculated risk. We calculated that the NCAA would be too weak to call us out or that we could beat them in court if they did. And we're probably going to be right, but pretending we haven't been on the forefront of being aggressive in the use of NIL in recruiting, which is and has been prohibited by the black letter law of the NCAA's rules is a farce.

She worked in compliance. By definition her damn job is to report violations to those she works for.
Pretty sure it's not her job to run her mouth to the public where random VN posters know about it. More likely, I suspect this whole narrative is BS, but that's par for the course.

You could be right about the entire narrative. That said if you get fired for doing your job in compliance you’re going to probably talk about why.

They have been good for sure but they really have had very easy scheduling those years. Not to mention some of the best teams in the east have been trash for a decade or more.

That easy schedule crap appears to be over though. This season UGA has

At texas
At bama
At ole miss
UT at home

Among others. They will be favored in every game but they gonna have to bring it...no more losing focus and overlooking opponents.

They ended up playing 4 teams who finished in the Top 10 last year and beat 3 of them. We played 3 and lost to all 3.

If she was a compliance officrr it was her job to report to her employer any violations. She didnt snitch to ncaa she tried to protect GA by recommending offender be fired.

I’m certain Vol Club has played in the grey. Not so sure about the University.

When is the last time a program like Georgia has come after one of our position coaches? I think this further solidified what a tremendous job Heupel has done with this program.

Heupel's done an amazing job. If we win at least 8 games next year (which is a 90% plus probability), it'll be our first stretch of 3 eight win seasons in a row in 20 years. Nonetheless, some will have the gall and overall lack of perspective to be disappointed.

We have been aggressive in the use of NIL, but that doesn't mean we broke the NCAA rules that were in place at the time.

The rule said NIL was not to be used as a recruiting inducement. We calculated that it was legally unenforceable and we're probably right. This is the test though.
