That is the national championship. If Georgia wins they cruise to the title. Bama matches up with them better than anyone. Michigan who has a pedestrian offense? Washington or Oregon? Nix remembered why he got out of the SEC last year. FSU doesn't stand a chance even if they had Travis. Maybe Texas. They're comparable to Georgia but a cheaper version. Good thing if bama wins it could knock both out. If texas, Washington, Michigan and FSU win out they're in. The committee would have to bump texas out in that scenario and I don't see that happening. FSU is not a good team without Travis but noway they leave out an undefeated ACC champ
Cruise? Hardly. If they played on a neutral field right now I think Oregon or Texas could beat UGA. Nix is elite as it gets.

They beat the brakes off them last year 49-3. Funny how he didn't do squat against the 1 good defense he faced. Nix has feasted on bad defenses period. He's going to win the heisman because of their competition. Daniel's is the best QB in the nation and it isn't even close. He has better numbers than 2019 Burrow after 10 games and has over 1000 yards rushing. Georgia isn't as good as last year but they're not 7 touchdowns worse.

Depends on a lot of factors. If UGA loses, then they will need Washington, FSU and or Texas to lose. Michigan is in. If Texas wins they are in. If FSU wins they are in. If Washington wins they are in.

The only guarantee UGA has to get in is if they win. If Bama wins the SEC will need a lot of help from other teams to get a team in. Two SEC teams aren’t getting into the playoffs this year.
No way will they keep Bama out if they beat Georgia a SEC championship team will always get in usually.

Georgia beat Oregon 49-3 last year they would beat them easily again this year. Texas would give Georgia a better game than Oregon but still would lose. If Georgia beats Bama Saturday they will 3 peat.

That was last year. This years UGA defense isn’t last years. Nix isn’t winning the Heisman, Daniels is. UGA has struggled much more this year than last. Oregon hasn’t.

We shall see. Last year means nothing. Why bring it up?

To be fair that was the first game with Nix at Oregon. Oregon would do well against UGA but ultimately I think UGA beats them 8-9 times out of 10.

I have zero interest in the game and won't be watching unless there's at least an 80% chance of fire and brimstone raining down on the stadium. Then, I would watch.

You absolutely cannot take Bama over Texas though. You can’t leave an undefeated FSU out either. Bama would need someone to lose to make it.

Texas has great line play, and that’s critical. I’m less sure about Oregon. Nix is a baller and no team with a great QB is ever out of it, but I think Oregon’s lines aren’t as good and their numbers have come against teams without stand-out defenses. UGA might have more ability to dictate the game against Oregon, and it’s tough to beat UGA when it both runs and stops the run. Both teams are obviously strong, though.

After watching the disgusting ending of the Auburn/Bama game last night, I changed my mind and will root for Georgia. I don’t want another Georgia/Bama championship game.
This is where I’m at. Bama doesn’t really deserve to be there and it’s disgusting to see how blatantly biased the refs are in their games. I don’t like Georgia but I am sick of that little baby Saban and all of the thugs and criminals who support him.

I’m not sure what to say about this game. But I’m a somewhat active member here, and I enjoy Volnation so I kinda feel I should at least attempt to give my opinion on the game, being I’m a GA fan.

Honestly, I’m nervous about playing Bama. I’ve seen so many games that it looks like GA should or would win against Bama only to lose in the final minutes or seconds. Bama is good and Saban is an evil genius (or perhaps Satin himself) not sure! Kidding, but Saban has had our number almost every time.

As for the matchup, I honestly think GA has the advantage. The main point of emphasis will be the LOS. I think GA wins here overall and that will make a difference.

Who knows though? Milroe has improved his passing game and is always a threat to run. GA has had trouble defending running QBs so who knows?

In short, I honestly think GA will run right through Bama this weekend! But it’s a 60/40 feeling. A feeling you might call very hopeful but not extremely confident.

my money on GA. Agree with your analysis. As a VOL, one of y'all loses, so I'm good with that. Bad news is, one of y'all wins. Not good with that. Really, from a VOL perspective, (I'm choking back vomit as I say this), the GA streak must end, and Bama can do it. (call ambulance, I can't breath now because of the blockage from chucking)..... as a VOL, trying to figure how a loss here by either team affects recruiting and it's a draw. Just the fact you are in the SECCG is enough to pull the moths to the porchlight, so damn.. Vols lose again.

I'm just going to hold my nose and say, I hope bama beats ugly in the SEC game, then hope ugly gets waxed in the playoffs. Also praying that bama is left out of the playoffs.

Come on meteor.

They have a good chance to still get in if they lose
Not unless a bunch of favorites lose.
Michigan wins they are in.
Washington wins they are in.
Bama wins they are in before Georgia.
Florida State wins they are 13-0
Texas wins they are 12-1 with a win over the team that just beat Georgia.
Ohio State would be 11-1 and sitting there.

Lot of people have to lose for Georgia to get in with a loss.

I keep hearing the pundits on ESPN and some on the SEC Network make the statement "the college football playoff committee's job is to pick the 4 best teams. Not the 4 most deserving teams."

Is undefeated FSU without Jordan Travis one of the 4 best teams? Probably no? Most deserving? Absolutely. But best? Eh, I don't know about that. Some of the folks on tv seemed to think FSU might be left out.

Me personally if FSU goes undefeated I would have them in a playoff. But without Travis, they very well may be a much weaker team.
