The play at about the 1:45 mark was key. There were several missed tackles on the play and let them get up near the 50.

man, J Smith. He just didn't do much of anything. I've watched him the last few plays and his man has no trouble knocking him off balance and out of the play each and every time.

good coverage by Toney there too. Kid was in the right spot and their wr made a great catch on a ball behind him. Toney is trying to stop the SEC alltime leading passer and is now not good enough to be on the team.
That's a good sign.

Based on this pic, where's his thumb? His top fingers are towards the end of the ball. I don't know of too many people that can grasp a ball with their fingers on the top and their thumb not under it.

Also, this wasn't the problem. Letting UGA march down the field with 2 minutes and 1 TO was the problem.
My biggest issue isn't whether its a fumble or not but was there 100% that it was a fumble. Cuz that's the whole point if its not a clear fumble you leave it alone. Still to this day i can't convince myself it was a TD but i sure as heck can't say its 100% without a doubt a fumble. But it didn't matter once they beat SC and showed it wasn't a fluke they nearly won.

Look at the pic. Is there any way to hold a ball in that manner?

Regarding the win the next week, what about the next game, and the next game, and the next game, and the next game. That's what concerns me.

The USC game proved to be an exception, not the rule.

forgot about that call to Branisel. What a great play call. 3 different 4th down plays and 5 different ways to make a yard in the 2nd half, including power running game.

Two plays in a row we ran up the middle on 4th and 1 and picked it up both times, though only one was allowed.

Not related.. But I hated Larry Munson (RIP) and his hob nail boot comment

I loved Larry as I grew up listening to him. But he went a little overboard with the "hobnail boot" thing. Didn't make sense to me. I think it was a senior moment as he was pretty old at the time. Anyway.........

Tom Ritter giving AM as many attempts as it took.....makes me sick more so than the last play with Pig.

I can honestly say that during game I couldn't even hear myself yelling at times....that's how loud it was. Think about that.

I remember leaving the stadium that night and a group of Georgia fans saying "You guys have one helluva coach"...Typical UGA demeanor would've consisted of a bunch of barking and yelling F$#@ UT.

Soon.
