Georgia vs Tennessee

I thought the refs called a good game

You would. We did have DB's on the field...so it must be Pass Interference. Was it your b'day or what? Ritter helps when he can.
Ritter gave Miles a gift during the Auburn game....with the onside kick...wow!

I loved Larry as I grew up listening to him. But he went a little overboard with the "hobnail boot" thing. Didn't make sense to me. I think it was a senior moment as he was pretty old at the time. Anyway.........

GTFO ... You loved the call.. It's iconic. I'd question your UGA fandom if you didn't like it.

My biggest concern after watching this game: line play.

Lot of people saying we are somehow going to be better, but it is going to be tough for our line to match that performance this year.

He always sounds like he was constipated and was trying to push something out..

He did. Should not have been overturned. Other non TV vids prove it. But it was reversed anyway.

The immediate reaction by Gary on CBS was the play should be over-turned. He had lost possession.

Ask yourself this, what if it was an UGA player in that situation, would you think he had control of the ball?

You mean like Murray's "TD" against Auburn?

I would rather watch lizard lick towing than relive that misery again.

Or some Scyfy monster animal movie.
It could have amazing horrid lines.
Bullet to the head
It's one amazing unintentional comedy. :) made me think of 48 hours.

Serious question did the 2006 Tennessee Georgia ever make to this same replay?
It could be one of the greatest vols win over the bulldogs 51-33, and greatest chokejobs by the bulldogs. 24-7 lead only to see it evaporate go from bad to worse win a 2nd half that was dominated by the vols.

Mike Patrick are you kidding me more people know Uga than Smokey.
Unless I missed something logically it would be smokey the vols as they went to two consecutive national championship games so that's like Super Bowl exposure.
I don't recall the damn freakin bulldogs getting into a national championship game in the BcS era because they never did.

It really wasn't like Larry. He usually made sense even when he was uber-excited. "We just crushed their face" confused me. He could have stopped with "we just stepped on their face with a hobnail boot and broke their nose" and I would have been satisfied. Still a little odd for my taste, but I'm no expert.

By far his best call was '80 GA/FL: Georgia vs. Florida: 1980 Classic - YouTube.

Murray didn't fumble the ball. Pig had clearly lost control of the ball by an definition of physics.

Nice comparison, though! :good!: It just goes to show how competitive this league is. It is the best for drama.

I watched the whole game till the very end and turned it off. I couldn't let myself watch that fumble again. Hopefully we play that well or better against ranked teams this year!

Based on this pic, where's his thumb? His top fingers are towards the end of the ball. I don't know of too many people that can grasp a ball with their fingers on the top and their thumb not under it.

Also, this wasn't the problem. Letting UGA march down the field with 2 minutes and 1 TO was the problem.

Bingo but people have to blame someone other than our coaches or players.. It could never be tn fault.. Ever.

So I just finished watching the Game on the DVR, and was hoping for a different ending.

Nope Pig still "fumbled" ... I still think its a TD.

Richt's UGA squad from last year went 8-5 WITH Aaron Murray. They are going to be better this year without him? No.

True but we get all the playmakers back that we're hurt last year. Scott-Wesley, Marshall, Bennett, Mitchell, Gurley, etc. We were killed by injuries last year and our secondary was awful. Hopefully they stay healthy and the new staff gets our secondary in good shape, I could see 10 wins for sure.

Let's not forget the egregiousness of not eating up the clock as the ug dawgs decided to purposely allow the vols to score to save time.

It was like a replay of a identical situation in the 2012 Super Bowl giants pats except with a far different outcome as the vols score a td but still lose the game.

Can't say Howard played it safe a great valiant vol but sometimes you could do almost everything necessary and still see the jaws of defeat in a horrid way.

I'm a die hard vols fan and hate the damn loss still blame the vols this was a game they didn't finish no doubt not eating up the clock before kicking a field goal was the worst mistake as I don't think you could have gotten a better situation.

All announcers should be like Munson.

Total homer. It was fun to listen to when Georgia was losing. But, everything was always "we" and "they".

You didn't have to know anything that was going on in the game. If you listed to 5 seconds of Munson, you knew whether Georgia was winning or losing.
