Georgia will dominate college football for the next 3 years

Georgia just missed their best opportunity for a NC for years to come. I don’t see them doing any better than 9-3 this year and probably more of the same the following year.

That's not a 3 loss roster or coaching staff.

We’ll see. I think Chubb and Michel coming back for their senior season to “rally the troops” is what motivated that team. You can’t just replace 90% of your offense especially when it’s two backs of that caliber.

Ok, tell us how you come to the conclusion that team who has played players significantly throughout the year to replace those who will be leaving but has all the key components covered will somehow dip back to 9-3? Last year's recruiting class was number 3 and they will be sophomores next year with an incoming freshman class full of studs. Enlighten me?

You’re losing 90% of your offensive production, who btw will not just be “replaced”. If you think a duo of running backs is gonna walk in and do what Chubb and Michel did, then idk what to tell you. And you lose a crap ton on defense.

It sounds crazy, but I really don't think they'll miss Chubb and Michel that much. They are crazy deep at RB.

Herrien and Swift looked solid last night. They may not be Michel and Chubb but I don't see a huge jump backwards.

What do you think your record will be next year?

Why is it irrational to think a team who loses 75% of their starters on D and their top 3-4 playmakers on offense will take a step back? Also factor in you guys were essentially injury free this year.

1. 75% of starters on D? Roquan, Ledbetter and Thompson are draft eligible but haven't said anything yet. They do lose Bellamy and Carter but several games have shown that Walter Grant and Deandre Walker create more pressure. They lose Parrish but after last night, tough to be upset about that and Lecounte will be an upgrade to Sanders. If Roquan does leave, got a little something for that too .. hard to fill those enormous shoes but Monty Rice is going to be REALLY good.

2. On offense, Swift has shown he may be better than Sony and Chubb and that ain't just UGA fans saying it. They also played Holyfield this year a lot who has a TON of talent. Bringing in Cook and Zamir White, who they are saying should be healthy by Fall camp, and the backfield is stocked as usual. WRs are still led by Godwin, Ridley (huge plays last night), a new guy named Jeremiah Holloman and maybe even freshman Kearis Jackson.

3. On offense still, they lose Isaiah Wynn off the OL but the OL will still be better next year and deeper .. a big, bad, mauling OL will always make an offense even better than what it may be.

4. I am seeing an 11-1 regular season and another trip to the SECCG. UT and AU come to Athens and AU is not going to be the same team next year. USuCk is good but UGA is still a FAR more talented team and they will be losing some big time players as well.

People have made a big deal about all the seniors on UGAs team but honestly, there are far less of them that made an impact than some would hope. And, unlike Malzahn, UGA has done a lot to prepare the next group coming in making sure they get a lot of playing time.

Tough thing next year for uga is that it's an even year, so they only get 3 SEC games in Athens and besides one of their "home" games being in Jacksonville, one of the road games is at LSU.

I just don’t see two more all time conference backs coming in and taking the load.

Really? Zeus is the best back in the country and Cook is number 3 and they have Swift who many believe is the best in the backfield currently.

Not sure how you are coming to these conclusions.

Add to that Holyfield and Herrien and they can just give a pretty spread out load if they need to

Meh, I'll wait till I see the kid actually play in the SEC before I crown him anything. In any case UGA isn't going to be hurting anywhere for talent it looks like.

I don't think there's going to be a huge drop off, but at the same time, they were the NCAA all time leading rushing duo. The new guys need to show a little before we can call it a seamless transition.

1. Yes, around 75%. I’m assuming Roquan is going. I know you want to minimize what you’re losing, but if Roquan leaves along with all the other seniors that defense is getting gutted. A whole lot of production to replace, although the replacements are talented.

2. Swift looks good but let’s not get ahead of ourselves there. Little different being the 3rd option and the one teams are focused on.

3. OL should still be very good

4. AU won’t be the same team next year but neither will Georgia. You guys lose more than they do.

Maybe so, but I see a lot on here crowning Pruitt as a great HC hire but he has never done it at any level. Let's wait and see there also. I mean, he is getting love as a great recruiter but he hasn't placed in the top 25 in at least 5 years.

1. Can't assume any of them are leaving except the seniors and it's huge how many backups got significant playing time.

2. Its a rotation .. it will still be a rotation. Swift will rotate with Holyfield, Herrien, Cook and soon Zeus

3. OL will actually be better and there's no debating that

4. No matter what UGA loses, they have more depth to replace it and more quality depth than AU does. Until Stidham gets better with decision making and they find adequate replacements for Pettway and Johnson, they are going to be hurting. Stove is ok on jet sweeps and stuff but don't think he is durable enough to be a bell cow back.

That's desperate. Georgia had a great year, are SEC champs and played in the NC game. And beat us 41-0. Add to that the fact that Kirby is recruiting like Saban. I'd just keep my mouth shut.

Nah, they are desperate. You don't keep your mouth shut when they initiate it.

I knew D4H was going to come in here and say “I was only wrong bc Tua. He’s the best QB since Josh Dobbs.”

Just admit you were wrong without qualifying it, and stop being a baby

I was 100% right in my football analysis.

The Alabama team we saw all year was dominated by the Georgia team we saw all year.

The fact a backup who barely played all year turned in the best one half of football we've ever seen in a championship game was the anomaly that could not have been foreseen.

Georgia also stopped running with Sony Michel in favor of Nick Chubb. Michel was gashing the Bama defense in the second half while Chubb was getting stuffed all night.

This is true and I couldn't understand why they didn't ride him longer.
