Georgia will dominate college football for the next 3 years

Georgia is scary right now. The class Kirby is putting together is spectacular. It already has the #1 qb and #1 OL in it. I feel like Tennessee is in a track meet with UGA right now and they are starting about 50 yards ahead of us.

Everything loks good on paper. No way to predict who is going to blow there knee out or something. GA would/should have already won a Natty. See the year they fell short when Chubb went down. And that was a loaded roster.

They are 2017 SEC champions.

A lot of you consider Gator fans arrogant, but Tennessee folks are the only fan base I know that belittle schools hat actually achieve things.

We don't belittle any school hats.

The gators just had a four win season, so definitely not arrogant.

Folks on here acting like the Dawgs are just now getting talent, GA has always had talent. Mark Richt was a great recruiter, basically every year he was there they finished in the top 10. The Dawgs have a lot of talented seniors and the best thing that happened for Kirby was those guys came back and did not go pro last year. Look for UGA to take a step back next season.

I tend to agree with this. The UGA choke has nothing to do with Richt or Kirby. It didn't take Kirby long to choke at Auburn in true "Richt" fashion. It's not their coaching or recruiting. Both are recruiters above the rest. Richt was, and still is, one of the top coaches out there. He's proving that over again at Miami.
Richt is pulling a strong Top 5 so far in the ESP. He hasn't lost an inch. It's a curse that transcends coaching staffs at UGA.

There's a lot of things have to go right to win a NC. How many teams have ever just straight up cruised through their entire schedule? '95 Hukers? Anybody else?

I've been saying for months now that Georgia will be the new dominant program in college football. They will win the national title this season. And they will be the team to beat moving forward. Kirby has them rolling right now on the field and in recruiting. The 2018 Georgia team is gonna be young so I expect them to lose a couple of games next year. If I had to guess, they'll probably go 10-2 next year with losses to Auburn and LSU. But in 2019 and 2020 Georgia will be considered a JUGGERNAUT program like Saban's Alabama teams circa 2012-2013.

However, fighting Georgia for that top spot will not be Alabama or Florida. It'll be Tennessee. Jeremy Pruitt is the only guy who can recruit at the same elite level Kirby is recruiting at right now. And Pruitt has the benefit of the state of Tennessee being loaded with unprecedented instate talent in 2019 and 2020. Tennessee will land top 3 recruiting classes in 2019 and 2020. And those classes will catapult Tennessee into a championship contender by the 2019 season. We'll be too young to win it all in 2019 but by 2020 we will be ready to become national champions.

Look for the Tennessee vs Georgia match-up to become the preeminent rivalry in college football over the next 4 years. Tennessee vs Georgia in 2019 and 2020 will be what LSU vs Alabama was a few years ago and what Florida vs Tennessee was in the 90s.

Here are your next 4 national champions in college football:

2017 - Georgia
2018 - Southern Cal (not 100% confident on this right now but its my best guess)
2019 - Georgia
2020 - Tennessee

Anything is possible when you are self-deluded and completely divorced from accountability.

Take a stroll over to tiger rant and sec rant

LSU fans are the worst and it ain’t even close

The only reason CKS will dominate at GA where CMR failed, is that CMR put character and expectaions above wins. He had no issues benching or eliminating players that failed to comply with his expectations. And still posted 10 win seasons year in and year out. CKS does not have that trait and will retain studs that CMR ran off. And all things being equal, he has a very long way to go to surpass the most successful coach in UGA history. I will not consider him anything close to being greater than Richt until he surpasses Richt, and does it the way Richt did it.

If you don't like Tennessee fans, why do you regularly post to a Tennessee fan forum?

I like Tennessee fans, but the Volsheimers and delusion is tough to not shake your head about sometimes.

I love when people talk about Auburn on this site like they are an inferior program.

How funny would it be to see Georgia win the East for the next 3-4 years and lose in the SECCG or playoff each time. That'd be the most Georgia thing ever.

If UGA plays Bama they'll get smacked. Thats a 3 TD game in Bamas favor. I also give Clemson the edge over them by 17. They match up well with Oklahoma, but you're giving them way too much credit. Any team that slows down their running game beats them. With that being said, this is one of the best recruiting classes I've seen. I'm sure they're cheating, and being that I live in GA I am making it my personal business to find evidence and report it asap! Side note: Cade Mays didn't like Coach Pruitt cursing so he is soofftt! Glad we didn't end up with him. Wait until he sees how much they curse at UGA, maybe he'll quit!

They match up well with Oklahoma,

I have a friend who is a huge Georgia fan and he is delighted they pulled Oklahoma in the first round for that reason. He does not think his dawgs can beat Bama or Clemson either but likes his chances against the Sooners. If they can keep Baker Mayfield on his back it should be a nice night for the SEC champs.

Georgia collected a lot of stars, but stars often fall and some you never notice rise up. I'm not too worried about a bunch of high school kids yet. If they make it through the spring and summer uninjured and un-incarcerated then we'll see what the DAWGS are playing with.

Stars often fall? So that’s why Bama has been so bad, all those top recruits they get actually aren’t good players. Look, just because Butch didn’t know how to deal with top talent doesn’t mean other teams have that problem, give me a team of 5* recruits and I’ll beat any team of 3* recruits you can put together

Brings up an interesting side question...what's the (on paper) least talented team to have won the title?

This may not be the exact answer, but it's pretty close to the mark on what you're question implies. These results are based on 5 year national recruiting ranking from 2013-2017, and is recent data. There may be some blips in past years, but I think this answers the question, and also dispels the myth that only 4 and 5 star classes can win championships. It also shows they can. All of these have a 5 year ranking average in the top 15 classes.

The last 10 national champs came from these schools with their 5 year average class recruiting rank in ().

Clemson (12)
Bama (1)
OSU (2)
FSU (4)
Aub (7)
UF (10)
LSU (3)

These schools under performed based on their paper rankings:

UGA (5)
ND (8)
A&M (9)
UT (11)
UCLA, OK, Mich (essentially all tied at 13th)

Top 5 in recruiting on multi year average doesn't buy a natty. Lower rankings doesn't mean you can't or won't. Clemson is a prime example. With all their success of late, coming out of 2017, they still rank only 13th in recruiting over 5 years, yet are in their 3rd straight playoff. Players help. Coaching gets it done (see that our 5 year average ranking is 2 better than Clemson, and we haven't won the state title). A combo of both, and you are fierce.

And per the question, these are the ON PAPER rankings straight out of HS recruiting rankings. They do not account for development, desire, injury, etc. Just raw recruiting rank.

Most of the scenarios mentioned have to get by the crimson and white team to the south of us. I wouldn't quite count them out just yet. Right now they are feasting on all the disrespect being thrown their way which may just be the motivation needed for them to come together.
