Get Ready For ND

oh my God!!!! we are talking about the last 20 YEARS 20 YEARS not this year. Do you get it. At some point over the last 20 YEARS they were good. That was the context of my response to that post. Even the other Tenn fans get this, don't you? I know it is a lot to ask but please someone explain to this guy. Believe me I more than you would love to keep this current because of recent events. But there is a great dialogue going on in this comparison and I value it. Obviously, some don't understand and should stick to reading instead of writing. Even you diehards have to have my back on this. I know most you you get it please explain to the lesser of you.

AJ as I just posted, I was just messing with you. Don't have an aneurism, I know what you were saying. Just pushing your buttons a bit. :D

It seems to be bothering others and you so I'll stop.

I wasn't writing about games on TV *** . I was writing in response to a statement about how poor ND's competition is allegedly by showing a similar post about Tenn. and who they play. If you don't pay attention you may get lost, why don't you sit this one out.

As for the list ND had played over half of those named (13 out of 22) and for the most part numerous times. ND regualrly cycles in Miami(6), FSU(5), Mich.(16), and USC(20). THese are some of the most successful teams in the last 20 yrs. Everyone remembers ND plays Navy every year did you forget about USC (Most Successful team RIGHT FREAKIN NOW)

ND opp
Miami
FSU, Mich, Syc, WSU, colorado, BC, Penn st., Vir, Ohio st, neb, GT, pitt, AND USC, Oklahoma, ASU, Texas, and Washington (they were good at the time of those games)

I posted some of Notre Dame's opponents in response to you posting Tennessee's opponents and alleging that the Vols don't play a tough schedule. The funny thing about that is that every year, the Vols play a non-conference opponent that traditionally is one of the best in the nation and/or highly regarding in the "other" conferences. (all-time winning pct rank in parenthesis) We all know that Notre Dame(2) plays Michigan(1), USC (10), Pittsburgh(22),Navy(29), Michigan State(31), Boston College(36), Purdue(41), Stanford(42), etc. It's kind of like Notre Dame's unnofficial conference games. What I took offense to was you stating that Tennessee(9) plays a weak schedule every season. But the Vols play Alabama(5), Georgia(11), LSU(13), Auburn(16), Arkansas(23), Florida(28), Ole Miss(30), Kentucky(43), Vanderbilt(44), South Carolina(62), and Miss State(69) in the SEC. Note that including Tennessee, the SEC has 8 (of 12 members) in the top 30 in all-time winning pct.

The fact that Notre Dame and Tennessee are playing each other means that each team is trying to schedule tough games outside their 'normally' tough schedule.

Regarding your blowoff of my last post regarding Wyoming... let's revisit what I was responding too...

Houston(.523), alabama birmingham(.537), wyoming(.562), memphis(.500), louisiana monroe(.434), and mid tenn state(.580). Ring a bell

:moon2:

ALso all those games are not national. I thought we figured this out too. When they show the insert with four games coming on do you get all of them or even a choice cause I don't

You said "ALso all those games are not national." That is what my response was to. So I'll throw your own words back at you.... "If you don't pay attention you may get lost, why don't you sit this one out."

And Wyoming being one team does not in itself make ALL the games national, it makes ONE of the games national. The difference in the scheduling is that ND is not trying to have a tougher schedule this is what they do on a regular basis. Also throwing in all-time winning percentage does not take away the fact that Kent. and Vandy have been horrible over the last two decades on a more consistant basis than not. I mean Harvard and Yale are high on those types of lists and I doubt Tenn would EVER lose to either.

And you're saying that Navy HASN'T been consistently bad over the last two decades?

It's not JUST the Wyoming game that's been National... I think AllVol was pointing out that "EVEN Wyoming" was National. Everytime CBS plays an SEC game, on a Saturday, @ 3:30 EST, that's a National game... so are all appearances on ESPN or ESPN2. In other words, most of our games are televised Nationally.

aj go bother Pitt fans ...who gives a **** talk about ND all you want nobody here but you cares... we love UT that's why we're here...you r not going to convert anyone so go away.....this will be my last response to this crap .....if we stop responding this thread will die

Thanks, but I'm not so sure he'll ever get it?

fine let it die in the end all the bickering, trash-talk, or whatever else there is one undeniable fact ND won and Tenn lost. If no one responds neither will I.

Personally, I am actual having a very good time comparing and contrasting the two teams but people are right if no one responds the thread will die. It does make me think though that if someone doesn't want to discuss the issue no one is making them read it or post only saying "let it die". If you don't want to "hear" about it don't come on this thread. It is simple and you'll never have to hear it again.

p.s. I never said you have nothing left to play for. That was Jasonms maybe whoever reads these posts to you forgot to mention that. Although the statement does have some merit given your chances against Auburn

OK then, I was talking to Jason, not you. So you butted into our conversation.

You WILL play in the SEC championship but WINNING that game is another story. Like winning against USC is going to be an uphill battle for ND

Youre preaching to the choir! Find a VOL fan on here and show me where they say we will beat Auburn in the SECCG.

See ya in SOuth End :shakeit:

The Vols won't turn it over 6 times again.... that's for sure.

I like what one sportswriter wrote when he picked Georgia to beat Auburn this weekend.

He said that Auburn has only played 2 teams with winning records. Both teams were breaking in a new quarterback. And one of them had to aid Auburn to the tune of 6 turnovers.

The writer basically said that Auburn is overrated and does not deserve its #3 ranking.

What comes around goes around.

Hmmmmmm........ :dlol:

Ahhhh - another banner year in South Bend. Nothing like being 6-4 with USC left on the schedule. What's the number for hotel reservations at the Silicon Valley Bowl?
