Get Ready For ND

Here is why ND should be ahead of Tennessee:
  • They got hammered by a Purdue team that just lost FOUR STRAIGHT GAMES
  • They lost to BYU, who has lost to UNLV :)dlol:)
  • They lost to Boston College, who barely got by Rutgers and lost to Wake Forest
  • And they have a big, hard-earned win against University of Tennessee, who I think quite possibly may have the longest injury list in NCAA football
Wait...

No, I'm sorry. It's just that you guys have some pretty embarassing losses, and are looking pretty terrible this season. I'll let you bask in a win. Go. Bask. Enjoy it. It will be your last. I hope you all get hammered by Pittsburgh and USC stacks 80 on you.

Would of, could of, didn't. The Tenn. loss just shows the overall weakness of the SEC. What kind of out-of-conference victories does the SEC even have? Beating up on your own doesn't show me anything about the strenght of a conference. The one out-of-conference game I know about is Tenn. vs ND, and we all know who won that.

As for ND's opponents: BYU took USC well into the 3rd quarter and plays a very unconventional defense that we had a hard time adjusting to, Purdue was ranked 5th in the nation before Kyle Orton got hurt, and the BC loss is just plain inexcusable. Last time I checked they haven't played Wake Forest in the past 20 years. Just wondering why milohimself included that in the ND losses. Oh well, I guess if you can't beat them you can always make excuses, create lies, and try to fool yourself into believing Tenn is better. Me, I'll take the head to head match and then judge the winner as being better (But that's probably just some crazy Midwestern logic). Once again, I win you lose. Live with it.

WE ARE ND!!!!!

Notre Dame will end up unranked in a ****** bowl as usual. Thy're a second rate team. Sure they won last night, wow, who can't beat a team using a QB whom has never taken a college snap. ND fans know deep down what type of team they have. They're a blind squirell and last night they finally found a nut. But only because we dropped that nut in front of their face. We can potentially still be in Sugar Bowl with an SECCG win. What's ND's best chances. The toilet bowl?

Who really cares about losing to ND. It sucks much more that our own coaches caused our QB to get hurt.

Preach it, Yaz

Vols can still make a bowl. Don't get me wrong... ND can get a bowl too. Let's see what you guys can do:

So chin up, guys.

That was a typo, it is now corrected.

See in South Bend in a year!

Your right You will. Only well be a lot stronger, a lot deeper and with a score to settle.

Looks like the 90-91 exchange. Both road teams winning.

See ya in South End :shakeit: !!!

While us ND fans may have very little to brag about, Y'all Tennesse fans have nothing to brag about, just a big old L on the record and a boat load of excuses. Kinda funny

Well, We do have a championship to play for.

ND isnt going to make their conference champio...wait! ND isnt wanted in any conference.

So you see, we HAVE something to play for (besides a bowl game). What does ND have to play for? A Music City bowl invite? Good luck with all of that and congrats on the highlight of your season, BEATING TENNESSEE.

See ya next year in South End :shakeit:

Who's got the excuses now? BYU with unconventional play? Purdue being ranked 5th before Orton got hurt. Check your facts. Purdue dropped before he got hurt. He wasn't hurt when they lost 2 in a row. He got hurt when they lost their third.

Are you suggesting that when a team loses their QB they are not the same team? So you would have beat Purdue if Orton had been hurt? :p

Crow all you want but the very things you accuse us of you just demonstrated in your last two posts. Must be that vaunted Midwest logic.

yes brian, 100% correct in the last 5 yrs. ND has not been offered a place in both the Big East or the Big Ten. I guess all those press conferences are were not broadcast in the country you live in cause it can't be america or you would have heard something i'm sure.

Quickly a response to the blind squirell comment. A blind, deaf, mute, retarded, and/or 3-legged squirell had something to do with the Florida game. Never in the history of SEC football has their been a bigger gift/choke on the part of the gators. Without that miracle Tenn would have the same record that the Irish do.

Go on and keep talking about next yr. I know losing must have been frustrating

:banghead: :bash: :withstupid: :moon2:

Watch out, your Irish buddy Jason doesn't believe in would of, should have, could have so clearly the UF game stands (by your buddy's awe-inspiring Midwestern logic). Clearly ND doesn't posses the same logic since they were "confused" by those crafty Cougars of BYU and their unconventional plays. :dlol: :dlol: :dlol:

Let's see.... We could join a conference or........ We could continue to have every home game broadcast on NATIONAL (and I don't mean regional ABC or CBS) TV, play the top teams from various conferences (Michigan, USC, and even you Tennesse), have a national following like no other, and maintain our special exemption into the BCS. Boy, I sure wish I belonged to the SEC (That's sarcasam for all you below the Mason-Dixon Line).

Although belonging to a conference would enable us to play a much easier schedule and maybe work in a UNLV, Louisiana Tech, or Vandy. I guess we're just overachievers with an unparalled tradition. By the way, ND will be even better next year so you better pack your Kleenex.

Oh yeah, and we thank God every day that no SEC teams use "unconventional" defense. How could we stand a chance :dlol: :dlol: :dlol:

Too bad the SEC has the best non-conference W-L % of any conference in the nation... otherwise you may have a point.

I have two words for Notre Dame:

Has beens.

I think chuck wagons were the country's most popular cars the last time the Irish had anything they could really brag about.

Please refer to previous posts that you either failed to read, forgot or just could not comprehend.

Tennessee's appearances on CBS are NATIONAL and the Vols have played numerous top programs over the years, yes including Notre Dame. I'm not going to waste my time rewriting them because you should have already read the list. And your sarcasm is funny :snoring: because Notre Dame would not be bowl eligible in the SEC.

Yes, Notre Dame gets to work in BYU, Stanford, and Navy into its schedule. Let's not forget the great games the Irish has played against Air Force, Rutgers, Army, Baylor, Hawaii, Kansas, and oh yes.... Vanderbilt which the mighty Irish beat 14-7 in 1996.

Remember this..... THE VOLS STILL OWN THE ADVANTAGE IN OVERALL MEETINGS WITH 4 WINS AND 3 LOSSES.

Houston(.523), alabama birmingham(.537), wyoming(.562), memphis(.500), louisiana monroe(.434), and mid tenn state(.580). Ring a bell

:moon2:

ALso all those games are not national. I thought we figured this out too. When they show the insert with four games coming on do you get all of them or even a choice cause I don't

Technically, the Big Least and the Little 10 are conferences. So I guess you got me on a technicality.

As far as a zillion americans tuning into the NdBC broadcasts, if you folks enjoy seeing your "mighty" Irish beat the crap out of some of the teams mentioned, that's fine. Id rather Tennessee stay in a conference where there is competition, rather than believe that 45-0 trouncing of Rutgers was something worth bragging about.

As I said, enjoy your Tennessee win. Its the highlight of your season. Dont think your gonna beat Pitt and I damn sure know your not gonna beat SC.

See ya next year in South End :shakeit:

p.s. don't overlook vandy haven't they beaten you before?

Not since 82.

another note, making fun of conferences that they are not a part of 1. does not bother me and 2. isn't very relevant to the discussion. So I guess the PUKE 10 and MINI 12 will be happy you let them slide.

As for games being national, ABC picks one game for national broadcast and shows the others regionally. If you check the ratings (households watching), the ABC main game regularly beats the "national" ND broadcast on NBC.

Could it be due to the schedule? ND's biggest rankings have been non-NBC games because real football networks only pick up games with national interest. NBC has ND or nothing. Tough choice but I guess they decided that showing ND vs Navy was better than showing figure skating. :p
