My 8 year old nephew has just discovered Ghostbusters from the Lego Dimensions video game. He loves it now. Sadly this is what he has to look forward to.

They ain't afraid of no ghosts!

The all-woman remake of the 1980s classic "Ghostbusters" just relaunched its official site with a bunch of new photos and info on the cast. The summer movie is a reboot, not a sequel, and stars a new squad of Ghostbusters making their debut.

Director Paul Feig recently talked to Empire about the connection between the reboot and original films, saying, "We're not recreating the old movie but we want to do just enough fun nods that the fans will go, 'Oh, okay, they're acknowledging that the other movie existed.'"

Feig teased that a trailer will be coming later this month. Until then, we've got the info on the new team, plus a surprising addition to the cast.

Check it out below:

I'm with you guys there is no way I'm paying theater price tickets to this crap with all the great films coming over the next 8-10 months!

I will probably pick this up next Thanksgiving when Walmart or Best Buy has it in there $3.99 Black Friday sale! I kinda want to see it just to see how bad it will be kinda like the new Fantastic Four film.

So has anybody actually seen anything from this to know how bad it is already?

Or are we just going with the "this is gonna suck because it's girls" criticism?

Just still photos the trailer has not been released yet!

I don't have a problem with a girls Ghostbusters film per say. I have a problem with the selected cast & the way they have gone about the film.

I think the problem everyone is having is with the casting.
If you want to do this all-girls Ghostbusters the right way, you get female actresses that are both funny and well-rounded.

Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick, and Christina Applegate immediately come to mind.

Instead they went with the cast of Saturday Night Live.

Well not to belittle your point but the original was essentially an SNL/SCTV mashup.

Honestly I don't see the point of going reboot and making it all female. That's not what the fans want at all.

Yeah, and Jim Belushi was originally supposed to be in it. What they should do is make it a darker film like Akroyd initially had in mind with the first. And drop the all female cast. Also, Leslie Jones is the opposite of funny. Her shtick is that she's a loud black woman, and that is the only role she ever plays. It gets old real quick.

Agree about the original cast but I'd argue almost all of them had established themselves in movies before that. Murray had Stripes and Caddyshack, Aykroyd had Blues Brothers and Trading Places, and Ramis was more so for his writing but had a ton of hits under his belt. Ernie Hudson was the only unknown.

McCarthy obviously is a big name, but that's about it. Wiig had a hit with Bridesmaids (which McCarthy got the most praise for) but otherwise her film career has been meh. The other 2 are definitely known for just SNL.

A few parts actually looked interesting the CGI Slimer for example.

I still plan on waiting and pick the Blu-ray up at Walmart for under $10 on Black Friday!

Leslie jones is just not funny to me. I always fast forward through her segments on weekend update. Just loud yelling and over the top come ons at Jost. And she screws up on the regular in skits and not in a funny way. If this fails it won't be blamed on being a bad idea or poorly focus grouped, but sexism.

Which is sad, I don't have problem with it being an all female cast but after seeing who headlined it based on other films I knew the jokes & gags would more than likely be front and center!

I never considered the original films comedies in the true sense of the word. The jokes & funny bits usually just came off naturally as part of the film and not forced in your face like again I'm assuming will be the case with this film.

Ghostbusters to me was horror first and comedy second. It was legitimately good and had legitimately scary parts in it.

I always thought of Ghostbusters as an action-comedy. Horror never entered my mind. It was written by comedians and starred comedians. It had its fair share of slapstick with Rick Moranis, Slimer, etc but I do agree the humor flowed more organically than what I saw in this trailer, which was definitely slapstick first.

That trailer looks much better than I was expecting. And Leslie Jones just isn't funny at all.
