Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Sleep paralysis can definitely mess you up. The first few times I experienced it was rather scary. I thought I heard what I best could describe as "demon" voices, I sensed other people in the room, and even thought I saw shapes of people. I also couldn't breathe a few times and it felt like something was pushing down on my chest.

After I found out about sleep paralysis, it's more annoying than anything. I have it every so often and when it happens I just start trying to move my toes and eventually my movement moves up my legs until I can fully move again.

When I was about 20 I had a dream that there was a bright shining figure standing at the foot of my bed, asking, "Eddy, do you know what you are supposed to do?" I started to answer it sarcastically like a teenager might do, "Yeesss, I know what ..." then the figure just shook its head at me sadly like, "don't give me that" and I felt ashamed of my answer then woke up from the dream, except I was looking right down the length of my bed and everything else in the room looked exactly like it did in the "vision."

I was out drinkin last weekend, and was walking down the sidewalk and just fell flat on my face. I am normally very sure-footed, so I couldn't come up with an explanation. I'm certain a ghost tripped me.

Hell yes. The goverment knows all about um. They been comin here ever since 1946 when the scientist first started bouncin radar beams off the moon. They are much more highly evolved than us. Gov keeps it secret because it may cause a general panic.

I stand by what I said earlier in the thread. Those that have not experienced can dismiss it, but if you ever encounter ghosts (especially on more than one occasion) then you know how frightening it is.

You can just "hand" deliver it to me FD. :)

My buddies and I used to check out "haunted" houses in the area after dark in high school. It was fun just to scare ourselves, but never any signs of hauntings.

Something very strange happened when I was in Bristol for the race about two years ago. I was staying with a friend who lives in Blountville His family let myself my girlfriend and a couple other friends stay in their camper at the bottom of a hill down from their house. All was cool the first night that I stayed, but on the second night I woke up sometime after 2 and not four feet away from my girlfriends head was this shadowy face just starring straight at her while she was sleeping. I wasn't sure what I was looking at at first but when the thing opened its mouth I had no doubt that it was a ghost. After about 30 seconds of me staring at it staring at my girlfriend I sat up and it just disappeared. I did not want to freak out my girlfriend so I waited untill the morning when she woke up to tell her about it. I ended up not sleeping any more that night.

That is the only experience I have ever had with something even remotely close to a ghost. I have no proof of what I saw but still I'm pretty sure it was the real deal.

Life Rules:

Rule #1 - If something happens that I can't explain, it must be a supernatural event. There is no other possibility.

I have mixed feelings about "ghosts".

My rational, logical side dismisses the notion. Various experiences in my life and the testimony of countless others make less hesitant to outright dismiss them.

If they are real, I believe it has something to do with the extra dimensions of reality. Continuing this train of thought, if such is true, it would makes sense that some people are born with abilities to "see"or "feel" dimensions that normal humans can not.
