You saw it?
Just to wrap up what I posted earlier .
We lived in this house for about 5-years. In addition to the young teenage boy we all saw in the house which occurred at least a couple of times each month, other things happened as well. A few times things like the kitchen cabinets opening and closing, the facets turning on and then back off, while one of us were in the next room.
You would set something down and then turn around and it would be moved or gone. (These type things I did not put much stock in as we had a large family in the house). But there were times when I knew no one else was there to move the item.
The more worrisome incidents included seeing and hearing a little girl in the house. She looked to be about 5yrs old. She was seen standing in a doorway or crossing from room to room, but all of us heard her crying in the house at night several times. Loud enough to wake my wife and I and even my father up from time to time. I would always check the kids rooms, but they were fast asleep if the noise had not woken them up also.
A bunch of similar things happen during the time we lived there. I will say other than being surprised many times, we did not feel threaten. My wife and daughter said that they would feel sad for some reason just before or right after something happened. Not sure about that
So here is the kicker, I mentioned in my first post that we found it strange the way the house was setup. With solid closet doors and that cubbyholes and closets all had hasps on the outside of the doors. Well we found out why when one day a TV news van and reporting team pulled up in our yard and wanted to do a report in front of the house.
It turns out that the people that had lived there before were the couple (John and Linda Dollar) that brutalized all of those adopted children. It was big news when they were finally charged in Florida and fled to Utah where they were arrested. Here is a link to a site with the news stories. CHILD TORTURE CASE | Pound Pup Legacy
They mentally and physically tortured these children to the point that two teen boys only weighed around 36lbs when the authorities finally stepped in. That link has details that I do not want to get in to. But they were locked in closets and cabinets, not fed and beaten. This went on for a long time, before, during and after they owned the house we were living in.
As for the things that we experienced in that house, I can only guess that due to what those children went through maybe it left an impression or maybe one of the children had died there. I did not follow the case to know if all the adoptions were documented or accounted for.
That is all I got, I would like to hear some feedback on this if you guys are so inclined.

That provoked another discussion. What are everyone's thoughts on orbs? I don't buy it personally. I strongly believe in the paranormal but I don't believe orbs are related to it in any way.

The Summer after I graduated High School some of my buddies and I used to go to the Civil War battle fields around Nashville, Franklin and the Boro. One night we went down to the Carnton Plantation just to snoop around (we had been numerous times during normal hours and heard all of the stories). For those who don't know, the Carnton Plantation was the site of one of the bloodiest battles in Tennessee...somewhere around 10,000 soldiers killed, wounded, captured or reported missing. Well, one Friday night we went down to the entrance around 1am just to snoop around. We parked and got out and just stood there for a couple minutes looking at the outline of the house in the distance.
We sat and cut up with one another and just relaxed, leaning on the gate looking at the house for about 15 minutes... The wind picked up, and rustled the huge willow tree next to the cemetary on property. It died down and at that time we heard clanking, like someone walking with tin-cans hanging off of them... This was at the far end from us of the cemetary... The sound shifted from clanking cans to the sound of one can being dragged across the metal fence, at a very slow pace. It started faintly at the far end, and got louder, as if it were coming towards us. It continued until it got to the spot of the fence closest to us, and then it stopped for a second. I never saw anything, but the hair on my neck and arms stood up, and at that point the clanking started again, as if it was going away from us... The sound got faint again, and just as if someone was walking the perimiter of the fence line, it started getting closer again... My buddy and I both scrambled back to his truck without saying a word to each other. We didn't stick around to see if the noise continued its path... On our way out of driveway, a police car stopped us and asked what we were doing up there because it was so late... We told him we just went up to the gate to look at the house.. After he determined we didn't vandolize anything, and we weren't stealing anything he told us a couple stories about his experiences at the house. The one I will never forget was he got a call late night in November about some noises and motion lights going off at the house... He said he walked up to the house from the gate and saw a figure pacing the front of the house, as he got closer he saw it was a younger guy dressed in Confederate grey, as he got closer, the guy just turned the corner and vanished. As he sat there trying to comprehend what just happened, he said he started hearing some faint screams, and a mans voice that kept saying no coming from the top floor of the house. He said there was no sounds of movement, or any signs that there was someone in the house, and just as fast as he heard it, it stopped... He said he got spooked and walked back to his car at a fast pace, parked next to the gate (right where my friend and I had parked)... He said as he got closer, he could hear a clanking sound going across the fence line of the cemetary... I haven't been back to that place since that night.. I got really spooked by everything that I witnessed and was told. I do know the house was used as a hospital during the battle of Franklin, and there are still blood stains on the walls and floors from where they performed surgery on the wounded.
That's my only personal experience I've had with anything that could be considered paranormal, etc.

I didn't see the apparition itself, but he was said to stay along the fence line of the cemetery, and we got orb pictures, and our K2 was going crazy while discussing the civil war. I'm out to disprove all places, but this was crazy. All of the K2 didn't go off until over there. I was with an actual "ghost hunting" team and they had set up DVR and evp. I have the evp on my computer so I'll check it out later.
Just legitimately curious... how do you distinguish a "spirit" orb from say moisture, or reflective dust, a small insect, lens flare, motion blur/hand shake etc, especially when using flash?
You can't. It's just interesting myth that makes you wonder what causes it. You can definitely tell the difference between a bug and an "orb" of energy.
That's what I'm asking though.... what is the difference?
Most "orbs" I've seen were caused by light reflection off of airborne moisture or some kind of particle. Did you physically see these orbs, or did they just show up in pictures?

In case anyone needs something. Pretty comprehensive list, IMO.
