Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

I'm curious as to how you came to that conclusion.

There is no video evidence to confirm/debunk whether that was an entity or not. It's unexplainable in the sense that there wasn't enough information behind the EVP to determine what caused the whisper. Sure it could be a broom sweeping, but don't you think the person would have remembered that?

Unexplainable would indicate any rational/natural explanation is not possible; that clearly does not describe this clip.

This is an audio clip only, and it has several plausible explanations. "Ghost" is nowhere near the top of the list.

Like I said, in the sense I was using the word, there's no way to tell what it is.

I tend not to believe in ghosts but the weirdest thing just happened. I was in the kitchen and heard the TV come on and a DVD start playing. My first assumption is that my 2 yr old picked up the remote and just happened to hit the right button. I go in there and he is on the couch playing with his toys and the remote is across the room on a table. To beat it all, the AV receiver isn't on which generally means it won't play.

Now Muriel plays piano every Friday at the Hollywood
And they brought me down to see her
And they asked me if I would do a little number

May sound weird, but my Grandmother visited me at night on an anniversary of her passing. She told me she was proud of my accomplishments and asked me to take care of my family. I've always been a little scared of such, but the moment wasn't frightening, at all.

My brother has some crazy stories from a really old house he used to rent in Murfreesboro....things moving, etc. He swears they really happened.

IMO, the idea that such things are impossible is terribly egocentric and closed-minded.

Everything is possible...

With that being said I do tend to think in terms of probability and confidence levels...

Besides if they existed in today world they would have more than likely made their presence known by appearing on Oprah....or at least Jerry Springer...

I assume you're a man of science...how do do explain ghosts and other things that require a 'leap of faith'....

And I sang with all my might
She said "Tell me are you a Christain"
I said "Ma'am I am tonight"

Bump.

I enjoy this thread and the stories with it. I went to the place devil worshippers are supposed to go. Old road in the middle of no where. It was creepy to say to the least, but of course a road that's foggy in the middle of no where is. :)

Couple of years ago I had an interview at a local court house. Not really important to the story, but the court house was burned down in the Civil War by Union troops and rebuilt a few years later. Anyway, the interview was to take place at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon. The court house was closed and everyone but the judge interviewing me was gone by that point. The judge arranged for someone to let me in the door; however, that person forgot and went home at 5:00. I stood outside the front of the court house thinking that the judge would eventually come to the second floor window and see me standing outside and let me in the court house. I waited for about twenty minutes until he finally did. While I was waiting outside before the judge saw me, I saw what appeared to be a boy around ten years old or so walk to the end of the hallway and walk into a bathroom (second floor window, I was looking up, so could only see him walk for what appeared to be about ten feet). I didn't think this was strange because the judge has a child about that age and I assumed he was there after hours with his dad. I waited for the boy to walk out of the bathroom thinking he might see me and tell his dad that someone was outside. Ten minutes later the judge walked to the end of the same hall, saw me, and let me inside. I never saw the boy leave the bathroom. After the interview I asked him how his son was doing and mentioned that I thought I saw him earlier. The judge said he wasn't there in the court house and went on to say that there was no one else in the court house. I didn't think about it much after that until a few months later in October when I decided to do a ghost walk tour of the town. On the tour, our guide stopped in front of the court house and proceeded to tell the group about a young boy who was arrested not long after the Civil War for stealing a horse. Apparently the kid was a notorious thief and didn't have much of a family. The magistrate and judge at that time were afraid to lock him up at the town jail because of his age and decided to keep him in the basement of the court house for a few days while awaiting his trial. Apparently he died in what is now the evidence room of the court house. The tour guide told us that current workers in the court house always complain about things going missing in that area and some workers have mentioned seeing a young boy's ghostly figure in the court house. I've never been a big believer in ghosts, but thought that was an interesting occurrence.
