Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Why does everyone think that just because a place is supposed to be haunted that you will see something and if you don't see something, they say it is not haunted?

Not everyone has the ability to perceive the paranormal. Also, ghosts and spirits do not show up on cue to please and appease people.

Some people are more intune with the paranormal than others. Some call it a gift. Others call it a curse.

I think I can tell when something paranormal is near the location. Not many places me feel the way I did when I was at one particular place.

I have a friend who is very sensitive when it comes to being able to see and feel signals from all sides of the spectrum. That "gift" was passed on to he and his sister from his mother, grandmother, and his great grandmother.

I could sense a presence before I could see/hear anything. All the other places I had been before I never felt anything like that. Get your guys together, talk about it all and we can set up a date and time. You will leave impressed. I would really like to see what professional equipment could do or pick up on.

I feel like I grew to understand how to tell if it's a paranormal hotspot or not. I can go to places and tell if they are fake as soon as I sit down. Other places have a spell to them.

Do use any equipment?

Personally, no. I have once before, such as a KII meter and EVP, and it confirmed my belief in the hotspot. It was odd because it was in the same area I had sensed the other 3-4 times I was there. I asked it questions and it answered them correctly as they were on his tombstone. I couldn't have gathered the information that I know of the spirit if I didn't have the equipment I had, but I knew something was there before using the equipment.

I have never been on a ghost hunt before. I am not sure it is something that I want to get into, because I see how easily I could get hooked. I have wanted to buy some equipment to use at my own home and a couple of other spots.

The most rewarding part is being able to see how one feels. The one I talked to was very generous and easygoing. But yes, it is an extremely addicting activity.

Why do you personally not use equipment more often? Would you ever be worried about one being a bad or demonic spirit?

My friend, who investigates, tells me that he uses the equipment to verify and pin point the activity. He also likes to use evp recordings to interact with ghosts. He tells me that he js very careful with spirits because there are some very bad ghosts and spirits out there. He said that some ghosts have followed him home before and you do not want a malevolent ghost following you home. He said they can be physically and verbally abusive. That is why he uses equipment before he engages them.

Not sure id feel comfortable trying to communicate with ghosts/spirits myself. I would like to take a back seat and see it done though.

When I see a ghost then ill believe they exist. And I do want to see one because I do want to believe in some sort of afterlife.

It truly changes your perspective on the whole idea of "ghosts." It made me a believer 100%.

Be smart while doing it, and always be with someone who knows what's going on.

Where are you located? I'm on mobile so I can't see where it says, but if you give me the town you're in I could probably find you somewhere to check out.

You might not recognize a ghost. They do no always look like a the transparent figures seen on TV. Many look just like regular people. You may have seen one but did not recognize that you did.

What is wrong with recognizing that their is an afterlife? There most definitely is an afterlife.

The only time I've seen an apparition of any sort was a dark mist. I don't think that necessarily correlates to a dark energy though.

Anyone ever been to the smoke stacks in millington tennessee. It was a gun powder factory in like early 1900. Its mostly underground with tunnels underground. Story is people were killed down there in the tunnels. Ive seen pictures. I would never go down in the tunnels

You are right about dark mists. The color of anything paranormal does not constitute malevolent forces. That is a misnomer created by the movies and TV.

I have seen green mists, black mists, and white mists in my home growing up and in my current home. It was not until a few years ago, did I realize what I saw.

Some people see full figures minus the feet floating or gliding elevated a few feet off the floor.

The Stockyard Restaurant in downtown Nashville might be one of the most haunted place in Nashville.

I spoke with the general manager one evening while sitting at the bar waiting on my table and he filled me in on the place. The building used to be a "house of ill-repute" and a depot. Lots of interesting people visited the building. It was once the busiest place in Nashville. The bartender overheard our conversation and added that he does not like to go upstairs to do his paperwork because of the activity upstairs.

The general manager and the wait staff at The Stockyard told me that the upstairs offices are very interesting at virtually anytime of the day. Office chairs will roll across the floor and the lights will swing back and forth when things get really worked up. Watch yourself as you walk down the stairs to the restrooms, where the Bull Pen Lounge used to be. People have been pushed while walking down those stairs on several occasions. A few customers have told them that the water faucets in both the mens and women's restrooms have turned on by themselves.

That's what I always worry about. I really wanna check this place out on snows hill and might even be willing to try to work something out with the ones interested on here, but I always fear dragging something home with me. It's a thrill when you're out doing it, but if it starts happening in your home it can get pretty creepy.

Also I agree with the posters about it not always being like you see on tv. I've had a few instances in my life that made my head down my spine tingle. Had company over once that saw it to prove to myself I wasn't losing it. First time I saw it I was at the dinner table. It just looked like a human shadow on the wall. Walked around the table, stopped and seemed to look over at us and then walk away and just disappeared. Second time it appeared as a fuzzy ball looking shadow hovering in the same room. We have a confirmed death before we moved to this location. A guy turned his tractor over where our back yard is. Quite a friendly guy though.

Also, seems quite a few cemeteries in dekalb might be hot spots. Never knew about the one mentioned here til now, but I was with some people at another one close to smith co. line. We were just doing some basic investigating and kept hearing a growling sound. Couldn't find a dog or anything anywhere. To non believers it sounds stupid, but I just got this gut wrenching feeling when I heard it. We took a few pics and beside an old church an apparition looking figure was there. We left ASAP. Not sure why, but we all felt uneasy after what we were hearing.

Anyone with experience know if that is associated with something more malevolent than just a ghost? We figured it was and that's why we called it a night.
