I'm not implying anything. I'm simply reminding everyone it's best to have their own house in order before casting stones.

If you think the remedial piffle Janine Edwards tried to pass off as a question was "legit and insightful," that's all I need to know about you. Also, what the Hell does it matter that she's a woman? She chooses to interject herself into men's basketball, she's subject to be treated the same as anyone else.Whoa, whoa, whoa now...I'm the one who started this thread and I never said anything about what Pearl or Gillispie do on their own time. All I did was reference two recent situations where Billy Gillispie was seen on camera in a very unsportsmanlike manner. 1.) Ridiculing a female reporter on what was a very legit, insightful question. 2.) Not shaking the hand of a fellow SEC coach after a loss.
I went on to say that Pearl (from what I personally have seen) always treats the media and opposing coaches with respect. That's it...
I'm well aware that both Gillispie and Pearl have plenty of personal faults (as we ALL do). The events I'm speaking of happened directly on camera and in my opinion, really reflect bad on Gillispie and UK.
I'm sure you base that assessment on your lengthy history of defending and/or prosecuting DUI cases. I'm actually not surprised you're the kind of rube who believes everything the police puts in an arrest report. If he hadn't cut the deal for reckless driving he'd have the DWI on his record. You know this and so do I. Not to mention it's not like he's only had one incident with drinking and driving.
You mean the way any barmaid at Rooster's, Ray's ESG, The Copper Cellar on Cumberland, or the Downtown Grill and Brewery can direct you to Bruce's favorite tables??Come to Malone's in Lexington during happy hour. My cousin, who's a waitress, will be happy to point him out to you. k:

I'm frankly not a Billy G fan. You don't do those sorts of things at UK and get away with it these days. Kentucky fans expect 2 things: For the coach to be respectful/respected, and for them to win.

It was a legit question. If you have a problem with sideline reporters then that is a different subject. I personally dont like them. But, she was there, asked CBG a valid question and he was jerk about it. The show of class in the situation is this, even "IF" CBG thought it was a stupid question, he shouldnt have responded the way he did.
I think if he had it to do over again he certainly would have handled it differently, but I still say if he was winning in KY the people here would be all over said reporter. I just don't think it is as big a deal as talk radio in Lexington has made it out to be.

If this is the Janine Edwards incident then it seems like much ado about nothing.

I don't have anything against Pearl or Gillispie, but I will say that both of their programs should be performing at a higher level right now. They should be judged soley on their wins/losses and tourney performances.
To a large degree things like "morality" and "honest recruiting" are just imposed or projected on to coaches by fans to make us feel better about ourselves.
