Give Dooley a grade...

A. He did a great job despite the circumstances. I was fully expecting a class ranked 20-25 back when douche left and according to rivals it looks like a top 10 class. Thanks for saving us for now, now go coach 'em up and get to work on our 2011 class!

what hes done is nothing short of amazing... hes exactly what i wanted in terms of finding a coach. i wanted a fairly young, great recruiter, well spoken, and not cocky coach. now all hes gotta do is prove he can develop and put the best product on the field as possible with great coaching. when hes done that what happens at UT will be breathtaking.. im getting a black lab puppy saturday and i am naming him Dooley!

I'd advise against.... There is a thread somewhere about a guy getting a dog and naming it Nuke.... Just sayin'!

i would give Dooley A+ i would give our class a A-. if we had one more OL and a couple more DL then this would have a been a AWSOME class. but i think we filled alot of needs and got depth at QB and WR and got som eplay makers. i think we have a couple of instant impact guys. i think justin hunter is going to be the sleeper in this class.

Pac 10 is bringing in some talent with Cal and UCLA closing strong, Oregon and Washington not far behind. I hope these guys push USC in coming years..

I give him an A so far. Recruiting wise he's done well holding the class together and going out and getting even more playmakers then we've lost. Staff wise, it looks promiseing. Very excited about whats going to happen in the next coming months.

Could have gotten in with a few other players that didnt give kiffin a chance, and dropped the ball on DT's.

We needed linemen and we didn't come close to fulfilling our needs.Given the short time Dooley had, he did a decent job, but we are going to be feeling the pain up front.

A+ He was not recruiting these same guys two weeks ago, huge disadvantage, but he pulled it off. UT 7-6 last year, didn't go to a bowl before that and then two week ago to pull off this good of a class is nice.

Easy, A....He did soooo much in such little time and still doesn't have a full staff. The future looks classy and bright with CDD as our coach.

I give him a solid, high A. Not quite A+, as we lost some DTs, but he did a fantastic job. I think we will be alright.

It's funny watching the Georgia fanbase collapse over all of this recruiting stuff and say they "really didn't want all the guys that left anyway", so that makes him great in my eyes also.

A- or B +

Not signing enough linemen imho is the ONLY thing I take points away for.

I mean come on...little ole La. Tech coach thrust into the spotlight and told to put together a staff and recruit a great class within just a few weeks ? Not to mention move from La. to Tn. in the meantime.

Way to go coach...so far...so good...making me proud considering how I felt about the program right after "X" split...took much of the staff and then raided our cupboards...RIGHT BEFORE NSD !!!!! :good!:

I'll give him an A- right now. That can go either up or down depending on the "official" D-coordinator hire and "official" hiring of Chuck Smith.

All in all, no complaints what he did with this class. He, Thompson, and Cheney all deserve to be commended.
