Give Dooley a grade...

A+. You are crazy to consider any other grade. He's been our coach for 2 and a half weeks and he not only filled the class but got quality guys.

If everyone can remember back when Stupid left as UT's coach, we all were wondering if we could keep at top 25 class and now it appears we will remain in the top 10 and 2nd in the SEC East well ahead of UGA. Easy A+!

B+

Lack of DT's
Crump & Sapp

These 2 combined is the only thing I think could have been done better.... Great Job...

A+, no question. We could have used another good OL, and I would have liked to keep Copeland, but it's a relative A+. He had about 17 days. I thought we were screwed. He saved us. John Cullen would have been a perfect addition, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Right now rivals as us ranked at 8th. If that holds true. I think he did a great job with the time given. Maybe we will have a few walk on's that will suprise us for OL and DL spots. To me the biggest suprise was being able to get Stone from UA. That to me shows that the kids see that Dooley has a plan to bring UT back. You dont give up a possible NC team for nothing.

A - easily, imo. I am astounded at the amount of work the DD, LT, and JC put in to keep the players we had committed and swing a few our way that people didnt think we'd get. Its gotta be one of the best jobs done by anyone in the nation today...:D

Considering the circumstances Dooley was presented I would give him an A, but if I'm grading the talent we have in this recruiting class then I have to give it a B+ (still good tho).

Great surprises with Rogers and Stone but big loses with Stanley and Copeland. DT is still a glaring hole.

A+++++++++++++++. He has worked his butt off to get this recruiting class where it is. As for the coaching grade, that will take a couple of years to truly know. He can sure recruit though.

A (incomplete). Not really fair to penalize him but UT has some needs that went unfilled.

Dooley: A+

His performance was near flawless under the circumstances he was hired. You could not have asked for anyone to have brought as much stability to the program in such a volatile situation. Bravo!

The '10 Class: B+

Additions of Hunter, Rogers, Stone, and Rivera make is a fringe A- but the loss of Copeland and Stanley knock it down a bit to a solid B+.

Overall, Double D could not, IMHO, have done a better job and I look forward to what he can do when he has an entire year (and entire staff for that matter) to recruit. He held this class together when so many felt it would go to shambles after jerk off left.

I never felt comfortable with the previous staff and their exploits and always wondered, in the back of my mind, when would they leave.

Concerning Dooley...I honestly feel we got a steal. I think Dooley has all the ingredients to be the next great UT head coach. Maybe its may orange-shaded glasses, maybe not, but from the small amount we have seen (and rather large amount I've read) the guy is articulate, intelligent, respectful, has a great background with Saban and his dad, and just down right gets the SEC.

However, I think he'll have a rough go of things in '10 with a new QB, young OL & DL's, and possibly one of the toughest schedules in all of football next year...but if this offensive class is as good as I hope...the future will be bright at UT.

Go CDD & GBO!!

A- would have been an A if copeland didn't defect, and an A+ if all the other before mentioned stuff happened, and some of the lesser offered commits were DT's .

Coach Dooley did an excellent job with what little time, and staff he had, im Excited to see what next year brings us.

I for "incomplete".

As far as on the recruiting trail, A-/B+.
He came into a timultuous situation, with people questioning his credentials, three weeks before NSD. He stole Hunter, Neal, Rogers, and Propst. He kept Loften, and he brought in Clark. I'm a little disappointed that we couldn't keep Stanley and Copeland, but overall the good faaaar outweighs the bad.

But recruiting's only half the job.
I can't wait to see how he'll run things in the brilliant confines of Neyland Stadium.

Grade for recruiting considering the timing - A-. Completed a top class when it could have been a disaster, but was not able to address d tackle in some fashion.

for FANtastic. Most of what has already been said. That. We lost a few and picked up a few today. I think he's done a great job in the time allowed and under the circumstances.

Considering what time he had... he couldn't have done better.

With that saying, 4 OL in this class was a bare necessity, but with the DTs we have coming in... we may lose an OL to DT. Losing Stanley and Copeland hurts but these things happen.

Easy A+. I'm quite proud of Coach Dooley's accomplishments under the extreme circumstances. I also can't wait to see how hard he works when putting all that talent to work. If these past few weeks are any indication, our opponents should be concerned. This coach isn't sitting around having a pity party. He's hustling and it shows.

Already looking forward to National Signing Day - 2011. I predict the surprises next year will all be positive. When it happens, he gets another A+.

Go Big Orange!

B+ But I think Jackson and Crump Could end being really good. If they develop, this class could end up being really great. I think Propst also could end up being a suprise.
