How many false starts, delay of games or other pre-snap infractions did we have last year compared to the previous years? How much of that Fulmer Chinese fire drill stuff on the sidelines did we see in 2008 and before (wrong personnel on the field, wrong play in the huddle, calling a time out between plays to get organized, etc.) compared to the controlled environment we saw last year before the huddle and snap of the ball?

Kiffin, in spite of all of the hate and his faults, at least had us more organized on offense than I can remember since Cutcliffe in the late 1990's.

No one can disagree we were a well coached team especially on offense.

Cregg on the OL did an amazing job. Hopefully Hiestand who has a better resume than Cregg can do the same or better.

The organization and play calling on offense was very good. Hopefully Chaney can maintain that and improve as well.

Why are we still talking about x. Its like one of your buddy's talking about how his girlfriend broke up with him. I am going to give all of you the same advise I give my friends, grow a sack and get over it.

the play calling was absolutely horrendous. Fulmer was better than 7-6 87 percent of the time. Congratulations lane

Remind me which one has a $4 mil/year coaching job and which one can't get a better job than a C-list cable analyst.

I think Lane has gotten more than his due around here. Yeah they were better overall, but the comedy of errors from 2008 weren't that hard to top. They got hammered by Auburn and Virgina Tech also Ole Miss. They showed up pretty well for the rest of their games.

We cut down on some of the boneheaded mistakes, but that offense was horrible. They couldn't even do something simple like kick a couple of 30 yard field goals to beat your biggest rival on the road.

I credit the offensive coordinator, not the head coach.

" Neither give place to the devil." Ephesians 4:27

" Submit yourselves therefore to God : resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4:7

Enough about Kiffin, he is USC's problem now.

How is inheriting a loser Fulmer-recruited kicker Kiffin's fault?

It's his job to find someone who can do it. Everyone in the world knew Lincoln was injured and worth squat, yet there was Kiffin rolling him out to watch his kicks hit Terrance Cody in the chest. We'd have been better off letting hatvol kick those field goals, at least maybe they would have gotten off into the air giving us a prayer.

I didn't know the offense was responsible for kicking. I thought that was special teams. And look who Kiffin had to work with... you are going to blame Kiffin for Daniel Lincoln??? Really? Lincoln hasn't been a good kicker since November of his freshman year.

My only criticism of Kiffin is something that Al Davis addressed and that is his late game clock management.

People forget that Lincoln got off a 47 yarder in the 1st half of the Alabama game that wasn't blocked and missed inches short. It wasn't unreasonable at all for Kiffin to expect him to make one 3 yards shorter.

We did cut down on a lot of the dumb stuff, the new staff had better take note.

cfbstats.com - 2009 Tennessee Volunteers Penalty Split Stats

Not as big a difference as I thought statistically, but you could see it on the field.

2006 should of been our year! We were much more efficient that year than any of the last 3

I think we would have beaten LSU and Arkansas if Ainge didn't get hurt. Then we would have had only one loss that season to Florida by a point.

That wouldn't be because he's still on staff, would it?

Of course it would be because of that... its called sour grapes. In spite of how Kiffin left, you can't deny what he was able to do with what he had to work with, nor can anyone deny Crompton's improvement.
