Iowa is more than a 1 player team. They have a great player and some good smart players around her. South Carolina is tall, but people keep throwing around how athletic they are. They have a few athletic players and a bunch of height. If they just had one or 2 girls outside that could shoot it would help. But I am no Carolina fan. People aren’t giving Iowa’s team as a whole enough credit, sure no doubt Clark is a star player but Iowa has had other players step up at times all year. They are a very good basketball team. Give me players that are fundamentally sound and can pass, dribble and shoot over somebody described as just athletic all day long.

She was an absolute assassin. I would refrain from questioning her on court decisions as most of those went her way. I think she had that “get on my back mentality” which may explain a few forced shots

You need to stop. How many games in their win streak do you think they got the benefit of some questionable calls? Just take the loss and stop making excuses. You get another turn next year.

Clark is a great player but to be honest she is ALL Iowa has. She gets into foul trouble or has a cold night, they are probably in trouble.

Jr got beat. Their bigs were over the back but got the benefit of the doubt all nt w/o a whistle being blown. There was a lot of grabbing, etc too but no whistle or a jump ball was called.

There are always missed calls but Jr got outplayed and out coached. Players must play the game and adapt to how the game is being called, esp basketball.

Their game skill set is very similar though. I think Clark is slightly better. Of course, Iowa has Clark and a decent center and that’s it so she gets far more shots and freedom.

She’s had 1 game where she scored less than 10pts in her entire career (saw that as one of the stats they mentioned) — she’ll have to have 30+ for them to win tho

Well they couldn’t stop her, Iowa’s 5 beat South Carolina’s 5. It doesn’t matter who scores or how many scores. Playing if’s is crazy. Iowa won, at the end of the day everything else is excuse making. Yes she was the best player on the floor last night and she took over. Nothing wrong with that, they couldn’t stop her!

She is the best guard I've seen for sure without her Iowa doesn't even make tournament she is that good. In CHRIST Alone

SYing Clark us all Iowa has is like saying Jackson is all we have. Total BS. As for her taking those long shots. That is how Iowa got there. She was unusually cold from deep but those shots from 32 feet are like 22 footers for other good shooters. Check her % out. Not surprising that the biggest racist in women's college basketball brought race into the discussion after losing a great college game. Dawn is so full of hate it is sad.

SC had only 2 more fouls than Iowa and had less fouls than Iowa 39 minutes into the game at which point SC fouled 3 tines 9n purpose. The game was far.from being one sided in officiating but if it was one sided it definitely was 1 sided in favor of SC. USC was actually called for fouls they usually get away with and others don't and are whining because they could not foul with impunity like normal.

It will really be interesting to see how the Hawkyes defend against LSU. They can't collapse around the LSU bigs as much as they did against SC because Morris will make them pay with her 3 - point shooting. It will also be interesting to see how superhuman Clark is given how much energy she has already put into the tournament. It would be amazing if she still can play another entire game at that level with several more large physical players taking turns defending her.

Iowa had their hands full with Georgia and the Bulldogs killed themselves in the last minute of the game with two huge turnovers. Clark "only" had 22 pts but three other Iowa starters scored in double figures (Czinano 20pts, Marshall 15pts, and Warnock 14 pts).

Seriously tired of all the Clark hype with folks acting like women's college basketball just appeared this year. There have been ionic women basketball players for the last 45 years - just because folks didn't notice doen't mean they didn't exist.

And I find all the talk about physical play and fouls reminiscent of when Tennessee beat Duke. Tennessee was too physical.
