I guess we need to watch how we speak of hatvols buddy cal,it's ok for hatvol to get on hear & talk about
how some of the ut coaches... mainly 1 man, can't coach, but when you tell the truth about his buddy crying cal watch out he gets his panties in a wad!

I think most people on this board know Cal is a friend of mine and has been for a long time. If a guy won't take up for his friends, that reflects poorly upon him.

The "truth" is very simple. Cal gets calls every season from big time programs to gauge his interest in their jobs. The only calls Fulmer gets in the offseason are from the Domino's guy asking for directions to his house.

how do you know him
Kind of a rambling story. My grandfather lived in Cincinnati. I spent a great deal of time there during the summer. I got to know a number of people in the community. A financial planner, who ironically played at Kentucky, is one of the folks I got to know fairly well. He introduced me to Bob Huggins. Huggs and Cal are extremely tight. Being a hoops junkie, I now spend my summer vacations at the big AAU tournaments in Las Vegas. I've gotten to hang around with those guys in that setting. I consider Huggins, Cal, and Tim Floyd good friends. I make no apologies for taking up for those guys, and some other coaches I've gotten to know, when I think the criticism they receive is unfounded.

Yeah,whatever..he makes you & some of the people in memphis believe he gets them calls just so RC will
give him more money that he doesn't deserve, one thing is for sure don't have to worry about the NBA calling
cal seeing as he was a failure once already!

Name one. That garbage a couple of years ago about him being considered for the Bengal job was a bunch of garbage floated by Jeff Hagood and his buddies at the News-Sentinel to help Fulmer close the deal on another undeserved raise.

Interesting, considering Pat Riley has already sent out feelers to see if Cal would be interested in taking over the Heat when Riles re-retires after next season.

Not true. I simply defend Cal. You guys defend Fulmer. That's the nature of debate. If I couldn't take it, I would have bailed on this discussion long ago.

I'm not offended. I simply think you guys are completely wrong. For the most part, I don't take the debates here personally.

No, that was simply a response to BO#1's comment about the difference in my treatment of Fulmer and Cal. His version of the "truth" didn't align with mine.

Cal is a crying CHEATER
That would be evidenced by the fact that neither UMASS nor Memphis have ever been on probation under his watch?

Ah, an eloquent response from the President of the Jerry Green Fan Club.

What? Did your pea brain die at birth? Jerry Green was and is a putz but atleast unlike Cal he wasn't scared to play an instate team!

3rd rate university with a 4th rate sports program

Look at Tiger highs big bad RB last year who was to scared to step on the field against UT

You need to remove vol from your name since your a Big Memphis fan. You can't be a fan of both its one or the other

I would tell you what you need to do, but it's both anatomically impossible and the verbal description would run afoul of board language standards. You're one of the guys who talked about how good the Jerry Green years were. Also, did I miss something? Wasn't there a UT-Memphis played in January? Cal didn't want to play UT with Buzz Peterson as coach because UT was irrelevant. There was no benefit in playing the second rate outfit that Buzz put on the floor.
As to you trying to tell me who I will or won't root for, why don't you concern yourself with swim meets, softball games, and track meets, the things you might actually know something about. Don't remember ever mentioning Memphis football, but I shouldn't expect logic or coherence considering you're the source.

did you miss the whole thing about Memphis refusing to play us in Bball so we refused to play them in fball? Thats why we had to play UL-L two years ago instead of Memphis
