I liked the simplicity of The Strangers. The entire focus is on the tension created by the home invasion, with the only motive of the strangers being the torment and torture itself. More horror movies should try this instead of trying to assign everyone a motive with a long backstory. It is reality, that this type of crime happens for no other reason than some people are evil and enjoy seeing others suffer.don't think i saw The Strangers mentioned. really unsettling if you've never seen it. i still i get the heebie jeebies when staying in a cabin in the woods.
echo the sentiment on High Tension....incredibly messed up movie. prolly one of my favorites of the genre.
the entire Creep series (movies not show) is really good.
dont think i saw Wolf Creek mentioned either.
interesting. i see some podcasts on those incidents. i'll check them out!I liked the simplicity of The Strangers. See home invasion crimes such as The Keddie Murders from 1981, The Wichita Massacre from 2000 and The Cheshire Murders from 2007.
