Bernard probably wouldn't have been a MDA if ranked 25th. Ramar was ranked 20th coming out of HS and he wasn't a MDA.

The rankings are subjective and simply one person's opinion. The players selected for the McDonald's AA game are chosen in a like manner. It is opinion-based. They don't look at Rivals, Scout's, 247's, ESPN's top 150 list and automatically take the top 20 players. They choose the players subjectively, just like the people who throw together these rankings.

If he picks us, does anyone know if he'd be cleared in time for the UConn game? I know it probably doesn't help us enough, but if the rest of the team clicks like we did in the early goings, we may have a chance with Stokes.

I think he would be available on Jan 11th but don't quote me on that.

I always heard that he'd be available right away...as in start practicing tonight and play in the next available game. What kind of tape do you gotta cross with the NCAA in this? Do they have to rule you elgible or something?

I have heard that and heard Jan 11th (first day of classes I think).

Not sure which....if either.

I read something that says he can practice with the team starting now but will have to wait until classes began and he's cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse. I was wondering what process they go through or how quickly they do that.

Clearinghouse is a worry for me. It shouldnt be an issue but I am afraid the NCAA may slow play this thing.
