Good thing Tennessee didn’t hire Lane!

Tennessee’s pride has become laughable. Ole Miss sure is enjoyable to watch!!! Wonder how Tennessee would look right now if they’d just swallowed their pride and gone after him when they could have. Tennessee will unfortunately struggle for many more years.

To be fair, how do you know UTs offense won't be similar in year 2 under CJH? You don't. So relax buddy.

100% should’ve hired him when Butch was fired. Say what you will, but the one year he was here he had a ton of top talent coming in. Also, he took a terrible Ole Miss team and in two seasons has them clicking. We will get to wallow in it once again when he beats our asses next month.

Now matured, Lane will prove to be a very good head coach. Most fail to realize he is just now the age most coaches get their first HC gig. He is a young coach still. If he finds consistent success at Ole Miss it wouldn't surprise me to see Bama hire him when Saban eventually retires. And considering he took over a crap Ole Miss team and in year 2 his QB looks to be a legit Heisman contender... I'd say he will find success. Lane is a good coach, regardless what someone thinks about him as a person.
His entire career he has been an 8-4 coach. I’m guessing that won’t change at Ole Miss. Sure he will have a year or two where he wins more than 8 but he will have a year or two where he wins less to balance it out.

Right. Because nobody can ever change or mature. However they acted in their very first head coaching job will be exactly how they act in all of their future jobs 🙄🙄.

Yes, maybe. And Kiffin does seem to have matured since his year in Knoxville.

However, if he had left Ole Miss after just one season to return to Tennessee because the ceiling here is higher, that tells me he hasn't changed much where it counts. Integrity.

Didn't he inherit Corral?

I respect the guy as an offensive coach but it helps to have one of the best QB's in CFB.

He's third because he's the youngest QB in the room. He's not mobile as the other 2 QB's but showed today he can move the ball with his feet. Not to the point of breaking 54, 35, 25 yard runs but can move the chains. And if you think the kid has a weak arm I don't know who you are listening to because everyone that talks about this kid says he has a BIG arm. His draw back is he's young. Prove me wrong with a credible source that says this kid has a weak arm sir.

The one thing Bailey has over the other two is his accuracy. For three games now, Huepel's offense has wide receivers running open, but Milton and Hooker miss them often as not.
From what I have seen of Bailey, he would get the ball to those guys. Plus, he would recognize them and get the ball out quickly.

Does he? Because it seems like if he were that much better at hitting receivers he’d probably be starting. Weird that he isn’t even 2nd string.

Lane will be the coach at Alabama when Nick retires. He will make us pay for not hiring him back. He will beat us next month at Ole Miss, then continue to demoralize us at Bama in the future,. Write it down, It's coming. But we have our pride, so......

Or we could have just swallowed our pride and hired Hugh Freeze and we'd be set right now.

Not giving up on Heup though.

We should have offered him before Ole Miss. That being said, I think Heupel will get us back on track

Lane - just like Bruce Pearl - wasn’t rehired for reasons other than ability to coach. Fans like us will never know the full story.

Lane would treat you like a drunk cheerleader. It's not lane you're addicted to, it's that o coordinator Lebby, and I'm a huge fan of Lebby.

How do you know CJH won't have us clicking in two years? You Lane fan boys are pathetic.

So what’s your proof that he hasn’t matured? His Twitter? Give some real evidence that Kiffin is still the immature punk that he was in 2009. Integrity? My goodness. You probably wouldn’t have wanted Meyer because of “integrity” right? Only here at TN do fans worry about some fantasy land moral image.
