Good thing Tennessee didn’t hire Lane!

He's third because he's the youngest QB in the room. He's not mobile as the other 2 QB's but showed today he can move the ball with his feet. Not to the point of breaking 54, 35, 25 yard runs but can move the chains. And if you think the kid has a weak arm I don't know who you are listening to because everyone that talks about this kid says he has a BIG arm. His draw back is he's young. Prove me wrong with a credible source that says this kid has a weak arm sir.
Read the practice reports or call Ainge or Swain.

. They should’ve hired him after they fired Butch but Phil stepped in and had to hire his boy Pruitt. Tennessee football is dead and buried for the rest of his decade at least.

They were never going to hire Lane and shouldn’t have after the crap he pulled along with Orgeron. It’s part of the reason we are in this mess

IDK about anyone else. But I'm so sick of these posts living in the past. All these what ifs and what could have beens.

Stop living in your head. Stop with the fairy tales. This is real life. Come back to it.

Just because people are successful at one school doesn't mean they will be successful here.

It's only the third game with Coach. It's too early to cry for other coaches right now. No coach is perfect.

We run the fastest offense in college football right now. That's got to count for something. It's more than you could say about any of our teams the last several years. And to me that's entertaining.

You got to have the right pieces for this offense to work. We will only get better with recruiting and transfers.

How do you know CJH won't have us clicking in two years? You Lane fan boys are pathetic.

He could. But Kiffin would’ve already had us winning by now and we could’ve eliminated the wasted years under Pruitt. If wanting to be successful is “pathetic” then I guess I’m the worst offender.

Please wait until Kiffin wins the West, or at least has a winning SEC record before you give him his COY award. SEC games are tuffer than Tulane.

Didn’t say he was coach of the year, but if you think we wouldn’t have been better off hiring him than Pruitt you’d fit right in with the Tennessee admin of recent years I guess. No one wanted this job at that time…he did. And was only the really proven coach who did. Sometimes you swallow your pride and do what it takes to win like other schools have been doing.

With 30 transfers, awaiting sanctions and only 75 scholarship players, I don't care who they would have hired, the results would pretty much be the same.

I agree. I think the argument is that if we had hired him rather than Pruitt we’d be competing for the east right now which is a compelling one to make IMO.

We need some more Pahoke Florida talent
That is what the jailer at the Knox County detention center is thinking. And even the Louisiana State Penitentiary. People forget the fallout out of Kiffin in Knoxville. From the rumors I have heard there are still incidents out there that have not been published in the media or talked about publicly. We were left with a horrible reputation and two years of NCAA probation. He would be the perfect hire in Tuscaloosa since the SEC and the NCAA totally ignores what goes on down there.

Tennessee’s pride has become laughable. Ole Miss sure is enjoyable to watch!!! Wonder how Tennessee would look right now if they’d just swallowed their pride and gone after him when they could have. Tennessee will unfortunately struggle for many more years.

He wasn’t coming here. Let. It. Go. He literally laughs at the hill jacks obsessed with him after he helped destroy our program. He’s a slightly above average coach with a mediocre P5 record

You got that right. 0 for 6 on 3rd down in the first half yesterday.

Kiffin is one of the best offensive minds in college football. Otherwise, Saban would have never hired him.

That being said, screw that a*****e.

Yea, because what I said is so dumb. Lane would have come back and Tennessee football would have at least been entertaining again. Maybe he would have left again and maybe not but it would have at least been entertaining. I know most of you live in East Tennessee and are surrounded by other Tennessee fans. Trust me when I tell you no one outside of East Tennessee has any respect for Tennessee football, to the point where it’s not even an afterthought. When I tell people I’m a Tennessee fan they don’t even bother to talk trash anymore and haven’t in years. It’s pathetic
Lane is 8-9 in the SEC Wow

Pretty good post. We should consider that CJH "has" to play the hand he was dealt for a couple of years. We're going take a few whoopins for sure but a coupe of seasons of coach getting his type of players will turn it around. Lane and his buddy Lebbe couldn't do a damn bit better if they'd inherited this mess, imho.

Football's been pretty entertaining this season. Just have to forget about the winning part and view it as pure entertainment.
