Ok. So, why don't you quote the "black and white" that says that a scout can't have a personal relationship with a PSA?
Ok. Instead of insisting there is one or giving a number. Give me the "black and white" that supports your claim.
How does sleeping over make him a representative of the university?
What in those rules do you think supports your claim?
Caught by who? The NCAA wasn't involved at all at that point.
So you agree that when he says that he "believes" that he "crossed a line", it may mean nothing consequential?
Are you breathing heavily?
That's not the right comparison. That would be regarding benefits to PSAs. Programs can pay for services without them being ruled boosters. For example, paying for inside information and taxi rides.
You should support your claims.
I have read that. According to your reading of the rules, if you pay someone and they help you during the recruiting process, it's a violation. This would mean that hiring taxi drivers is a violation.
There isn't a rule against recruiting services having relationships with PSAs.
So, Lyles mind is good enough to "believe" that he "crossed a line" but not good enough to determine that he didn't steer players?
Having a relationship with the players is not a violation. It's the reason why he had valuable information.
I've read all of the related bylaws multiple times now. Which specific rule do you think Oregon violated?
According to what rule?
According to what rule?
So, you agree that trying to comply with the written materials requirement does not demonstrate a cover-up?
He says as emphatically as he can that he didn't steer anyone anywhere. He has said this in multiple interviews now.
According to what rule?
Where does it say that? Do you think that paying a taxi driver makes them a booster?
It's the other way around. If a person gives money to the program, they are a booster. There is no rule stating that anyone who is paid is a booster.
Splitting hairs here, but this isnt totally trueyes paying a taxi driver makes them a booster by ncaa rules.
Bottom line, and a line that Wheaton and his ostrich brethren cant seem to understand. Its ok, the AA will make you understand soon enough.you don't get it. you are a booster if you give money to the university OR if you take money from the university. this is very clear.
Sounds very familiar......................The real problem here is that some fans get so wrapped up in their team that they begin to see themselves as part of that team. Thus, because THEY didn't cheat or break rules personally, they assume their team has not either. I mean, they're the same thing, right?
SIAP, but I ran across this elsewhere. Found it interesting. Seems that O is making comic books for their recruits....
