Should I quote what it says about faking injuries in the NCAA rule book? Faking injuries takes advantage of everyones concern for truly injured players. And it actually could affect the outcome of a game.
Whether or not Lyles was the one who told Oregon when Seastrunk wanted to visit affected nothing.
Keep trumpeting Tedford if you want. I'll be fine seeing Cal continue as the almost-or-nothing program they've been for the last 10 years. Tedford's shelf-life expired years ago.
oh noes! first off 3 of those guys didnt' play the next week so lets not act like every injury was a fake one. and second it did not effect the outcome of the game.
you don't understand the recruiting process at all do you?
when have i been trumpeting tedford? i don't think he's that great, but he did do a lot for oregon. and i love the almost or nothing program comment. compared to oregon historically cal is the one of the best programs in ncaa history. remind me how many people you were drawing in the 80s and your programs liftime .350 winning %.
uh oh
SPORTSbyBROOKS Lyles: Kelly Directly Involved In Possible Coverup
Shelton co-host Marcus Coleman to Lyles: “Was Chip Kelly directly in involved in the scramble for documents or was it strictly Josh Gibson?“
Lyles: “I spoke with Josh and I also spoke with Coach Kelly throughout that period and the phone records will reflect that. I spoke with both individuals.”
Shelton: “So Chip Kelly was a part of the entire deal?”
Lyles: “I spoke him with and we did discuss it, yes.”

"Sour grapes" per Wheaton
Its that these young men, who were sought after be some of the most prestigious football programs in the entire country, looked to Lyles during one of the most important times in their young adult lives.
which is exactly why oregon can't give the guy $25K
Because while there is plenty to dislike about Chip Kelly and Oregon and the way it has handled itself at pretty much every stage of this whole Lyles mess, there is one underlying fact in play here that has received little attention, but has undoubtedly helped lead to the Ducks’ evisceration in local and national media the past nine days:
There wasn’t a whole lot to like about Oregon in the first place.
You just knew there was a reason you didn’t like him, right?
Well, that’s how Huskies fans have felt about Oregon for years. Yes, their fans are the rudest and most hostile in the Pac-12, their uniforms would be considered over-the-top on Lady Gaga and the construction of their gaudy athletic facilities wouldn’t have been possible without their sugar daddy.
I stand corrected on the 2011 point. Though, I don't see how that changes much. It was being claimed that all of the documents he provided were outdated. They were not.
Based on what has been said, Lyles gave information verbally about 2011 recruits. It's known that they were playing catch-up with the written documents requirement. That doesn't mean that they didn't receive legitimate services otherwise.

They claim to have paid for a 2011 National Service, and yet there's not a single shred of proof that they got info on even one 2011 recruit. You don't think that's suspicious to the NCAA? You think they had 25K worth of phone conversations?
