If you believe that is should be a felony, then you're argument deserves to be mocked.

What you've failed to address is that these things were ALREADY illegal, now you're advocating that that the perpetrators be charged with the most serious level of criminal behavior possible.... for what amounts to an inconvenience to a politician.

Look up the TCA code for aggravated kidnapping. Then take a gander under the 2nd element

I was referring to the limiting movement of others. It starts as false imprisonment but check out the section about interfering with political activities

Same here. And from Lee’s own lips he said the same. It specifies violence. So, peaceful demonstrations should be fine.

My concern is with escalating this to a felony. Again, there is this slow creep going on that is similar to cancel culture, where instead of taking away someone ones job/career based on something they may have said or done, now we are removing their voting and gun rights based on what they have done. And again, this does can cut both ways. Let some liberal govt get involved and we could see dozens of right wingers losing their rights unfairly.

If I could buy my voting rights for what they are actually worth and sell them for what the public perceives then to be worth, I would have a substantial capital gain. Gun rights are far more enshrined in the constitution than voting rights and far more valuable in actuality.
