We fell apart without Reynolds running the offense. Middleton let the offense become too erratic so DD started jacking up bad shots. Having Nunn come in for Nared meant Russell didn't get a break and she plays terrible when she's tired.

I think that's an unfair assessment of Russell. I imagine she started to run out of gas a bit. McGowan made some nice, tough shots over Russell - her on the ball defense wasn't bad, though maybe she shouldn't have let her get so deep in the paint.

I am not sure why she want to stand there and fiddle with her hair rather than stop a run by the other team. Happens every game and no reason to end half with 4 timeouts. Shaeffer used one and girl made a 3.

Cooper and Hayes will bury Middleton on the depth chart next year. She will get Dunbar minutes.

Yep, 2 turnovers before Reynolds picked up the 2nd foul and 7 turnovers after.

Warlick is dumb--doesn't seem to recognize when she needs to call a TO. She probably thinks tv timeouts are enough. She's not very sharp--which is why the program is in the shape that it is in.

Russell looked tired to me down the stretch and was terrible on both ends. Nunn should be coming in FOR Russell, not coming in with her. Warlick should have gotten either Reynolds or Nared back in the game--players have to learn to play with 2/3 fouls--that is part of the game. Another instance of Warlick doing nothing to stop the bleeding. And DeShields played poorly down the stretch as well. Good grief.

Holly would rather stomp her feet and fold her arms and look clueless when a team goes on a 10-0 run than to actually be a competent coach and call a TO. It's really just a running joke at this point.

Ugly game. Neither team can run offense or score. Tennessee with 9 turnovers (Diamond leading the way again) to only 4 assists.

Mississippi State is not deserving of their ranking. This is the first time I have seen them play since their 60-point loss in the NCAA tournament last season. I am not impressed. I was expecting vast improvements from them.

Meme has improved. Middleton just seems out of her league and makes me nervous every time she touches the ball. Even though we were missing Nared and Reynolds, Mississippi St. was using their second unit to beat us.

McCowan is 6'7" so she can get off a shot she was guarded they went in. I am much more concerned about the girl that made those two long threes they were killers.

You HAVE to rest Russell. If that means playing Nared with two fouls, you do it! Nared is smart enough to handle it. This is Warlick being Warlick again. I've noticed this repeatedly this year--Russell getting tired because she's not getting rest. I'd ask what our staff is thinking, but they don't.

They scored 41 points in the half on the road. I think their rating is inflated and maybe not a Final Four caliber team, but they are solid.

The loss of two guards from last year's team certainly shows up when Reynolds gets into foul trouble.

Game far from over but we really got to get this thing even in the third quarter. We have to guard without fouling I don't know why we don't use the matchup zone.
