Interesting. I'm surprised jimbo is number one honestly. It's really going to be interesting seeing how this list looks in a couple of years.

Sumlin to Arizona is a completely irrelevant hire. Just above average coach at a school that never hits the college football radar.

I like Herm Edwards as a person but I hope that hire fails miserably after their AD mocked our coaching search after being called out on hiring Edwards.

Pruitt should be at#1 or #2 on that list. I still don’t believe none of these coaches can beat him. I’m standing firm still at 100% behind him. He is showing us already greatness at U.T.

At best #5, but #7 is about right. We have enough money to be #1 but the Tennessee Athletic Dept isn’t serious about winning.

I'd bet that at least a couple above Pruitt are flops; the question is whether they will manage to stick around for a while like Strong at TX.

This is very true. But it's the off-season and rankings of any kind get fans talking...or arguing.

Thats true. Gotta take whatever football we can get at this point. I don't have a dog in this fight, but since I'm on a UT board I'll pander and say Pruitt. Honestly though, if you look at who has made up the most ground in recruiting from where the team was Pruitt would be an easy choice. So with this limited time frame Pruitt could be number 1, pandering or not.

Not sure how you can grade them before any results. Right now you can argue any order you want.

The referenced article is actually in the newest dictionary editions next to the term "clickbait." But it gave TN fans a chance to insult Arizona, so it serves some function.

Considering everything, I think Frost should be above Jimbo. Not that Jimbo won't do well at Texas A&M, but I just don't see him doing well enough to be in the playoffs regularly. I think Kelly also does well, and those three, with Mullen and Pruitt should be top 5. For next year's potential I probably would rank Jimbo first, then Frost, Pruitt, Mullen, and Kelly. For the future though, I have no clue.

So you're saying they all can beat him. Interesting.

Jimbo is going to earn every penny of that contract. That hire was a homerun for A&M. Only wish we’d had the stones to offer him the same thing. Free Shoes U downgraded with Taggert.
