I imagine that some GOP staffer in Wisconsin just secured his political future.

See dems. That's what being azz raped feels like.

We conservatives know because you've been doing it to us since the end of 08.

Walker won't win another election and WI will go to the Dems in 2012. Book it. This was never a budget issue, and it was shown today because they split the bill to bust the unions.

Very well could be accurate. Whatever happens, I bet it won't be devoid of interest.

Nah. Media is making it seem the way it isn't.

Left wing media was saying the Republicans weren't even going to get the house last fall.

Don't believe the hype.

Unions are going down everywhere. Ohio will fall next. Then TN. Then on and on.

There will be no money for Obama in 12 and the districts will be different.

It's over boys.

The fat lady has sung.

Your one hour of Fox News tonight was wasted.

I didn't watch Fox tonight. I have been in all day meetings and will be again tomorrow. I learned about what happened in Madison today when my bestfriend called me laughing. Told me how the weak azz dems who fled out of state and are gutless got worked around and the bill still went through legally. He laughed. I laughed. He laughed some more. I began crying because I was laughing so hard. Then he did too. Then we both kind took a deep sigh and went "ah chit that was good."

If there's one death knell of Republicans....its a bunch of smashed unions.

You should see what actually happened. FYI, they removed all BUDGET RELATED material from the BUDGET BILL. Didn't allow for an open meeting, which is ILLEGAL according to WI law. Didn't allow motions or tell the Democrats what was removed from the bill.

Maybe true but fleeing the state to avoid democratic processes can't be legal either. One wrong doesn't justify another but it's hard to be sympathetic to Dem views when they simply bailed for fear of losing a vote.

The only reason I see the Dem fleeing as okay is because Walker wouldn't even debate the issue.

I did not come away with the same impression.

They did remove all spending related material, in order to pass it without a quorum. The meeting was closed to the public, however, I am not sure that is what is meant by open/closed meeting (that is something for lawyers in Wisconsin to sort out). I would imagine that the staffers and legislators were savvy enough to use correct procedure in notifying Congress members of what was going to take place. I would also imagine that some of those procedural guidelines involve timelines and that wherever the Democrat Senators were was too far to get there in time.

Again, these are assumptions; however, I believe them to make sense. If so, then the Democrats simply screwed themselves by fleeing the state.

seriously? he's the governor. the debate is within the legislature.

can't believe this is viewed as okay. were you fine with R's being the "party of no" in the fed govt? at least they fulfilled their role and voted.

were you okay with Reid and Pelosi's maneuvering to enact legislation via tricks and loopholes rather than negotiation?

it's a dirty business - I don't condone it but running away is the height of irresponsibility in my opinion.

He does not have to. Debate would only be necessary if he felt he needed to persuade certain Senators. He already had enough votes to carry, so why waste the time?

The law says they have to give 2 hours notice of a vote, that didn't happen. There was a letter written by the Republican Attorney General presented in the meeting. It will probably go to court.

Really? I heard that this was going to happen this morning. Then, this afternoon, it passed. I don't know why the Republicans would have leaked that information and then actually disregard the protocol.
