"til the sweat drops down my balls... all these females crawl"
haha you gotta admit, Lil Jon is good at what he does, which is make everybody in the club get crunk. Not one of the greatest rappers of all time, but i don't think thats ever what he was trying to be.
Check the title of the thread man.
Lil' John is great at making club bangers but a guy like him comes out every other year.
This is what he and I are trying to relay to you, we are talking best of the best, ever.
The only guy that you have named that could even be considered is Eminem and truly he really isn't on the same level.
Eminem is one of a kind, I will admit that, he has a ton of talent, except when it comes to production.
Ever heard of Dungeon Family?
If not, check them out, some very recognizable names in the group, you will surely know some of them but that is an amazing record in my mind.
Sorry i don't only listen to things that are the greatest of all time. Sometimes i just listen to stuff that makes me happy every now and then. You should try it.
Nope never heard of them but i will check them out.
If you think Eminem can't make a great album then you should listen to the Slim Shady LP again.. (I say again because I'm assuming you've heard it nearly 9,000 times in your lifetime and bought it the day it came it out) Better yet just start with "Rock Bottom" and go through the end. Some of his rhymes make my heart feel like its gonna beat out of my chest.
i see what your sayin..
But... If Dr. Dre wanted to produce my tracks because he thought i was the next best thing, i would let him too, because he's the best at it. That wouldn't necessarily mean i couldn't do it myself. I would just be admitting that he's better at it and gives me a greater chance of success.
I'm not much of a rap fan anymore but here's what I used to listen to:
Public Enemy - Fear of a Black Planet
N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
Dr. Dre - Chronic
Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill (Sawed off shotgun, hand on the pump...)
Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
