Greatest hip-hop/rap album of all-time?

Yeah, I like Em but with rappers like Aesop, Slug, MURS, Del, and Q-tip in the mix... there's no way one such as he could even sniff the butts of those guys.

IMO eminem is better than everyone you named. I think he's one of the best ever but not THE best.

I've heard everyone of those guys and happen to think Eminem is better.

I highly doubt someone who listed "Get Rich Or Die Trying" as one of the best rap albums ever made has heard of Aesop Rock or heard anything other then "Vibrant Thing" by Q-Tip.

I don't believe it for one second. If you have heard of them and still have the opinion you have about rap, then you just have terrible taste in rap...sorry.

Yeah an album that had 5 singles 3 of which were #1 songs and went platinum 6 times has no business being mentioned at all. We have different tastes in rap and that's fine I just don't enjoy the same artists as you do.

Why do all these commercial rap fans reference marketability as a point of superiority?

Congrats, you have the same taste as tens of millions of college kids?

Since when do record sales equate to greatness?

Your entire argument seems to be predicated on how many records they sold.

Backstreet Boys had an album sell over 10 million records, I guess it is one of the best albums ever.

Indeed...we can't agree on Mayer but we are on the same wave length when it comes to rap.

First, How is that not a point of superiority? Second, the cd was good and I like 50. I don't enjoy underground near as much as someone I know, but I have listened to a great deal of both.

Nickelback, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus.

Thank you.

We were talking about rap albums and I along with the vast majority enjoyed the album. Numbers don't lie either.
