I put Slash as one the greatest guitarists but I think GNR is overrated. Axl Rose's vocals were just too freakin' annoying on way too many songs. I do like some of their songs. But I got so tired of November Rain. Again, awesome guitar solos but....Rose...gah.

I put Metallica up there. I would agree most of their stuff after Justice was meh, except Death Magnetic is pretty awesome. It's like Disc 2 of Justice. The Black Album is ok, just way too radio friendly. I tend to try to ignore 1996 through 2007, though their cover of "Turn the Page" is awesome and I do like "Fuel" and "The Memory Remains". The rest can be retconned for all I care and St. Anger is possibly one the worst albums I've ever heard.

Please, Kurt Cobain's lyrics meant something. He spoke from the heart about teenage angst, and so many deep thoughts everyone shared but couldn't express .He fought against racism, sexism, and homophobes. Not to mention being labeled as the spokesperson of an entire generation. He had so much more influence than Ozzy Osbourne....plus his music was alot better than his too.

that is bull crap..Kurt himself said that his lyrics mean nothing, that it was pretty much random words.
the best thing to happen to them for for him to kill himself.
because now we have the Foo fighters.
