Not sure if your kidding or not cause sometimes I have a hard time detecting your sarcasm but AXl rocked.

I would still place Freddie Mercury above him for voice but AXl's voice and stage presence was amazing. Best over all stage man of all time.

Two of my faves

James Dewar (Trower)
Glen Hughes (Trapeze,Deep Purple)
I will add that Paul Rodgers is probably one of the best front men in the business.

because you say so?

Pretty much.

His voice was unique, and he had plenty of ability but if you think that he could sing as well as Freddie Mercury you are nuts. The two are not equal.

Now, if you are saying that Axl had the most kick-ass voice of all-time, I can roll with that.

I personally like Brent Smith from Shinedown. He has great range and they say has never had vocal lessons.

Of the songs on the radio, you don't get much of a sample of the voice. But listen to their "simple man" and listen to the range he has.

He is also from.....Knoxville, Tn.

there you have it. you said so, are clearly an authority and Freddie was better, especially after the high protein gargle.

I'm a big fan of Shinedown's version of "Simple Man". I like it better than the original.

I was fortunate enough to see GnR 3 times & Axl was kick ass, although the last time I seen them in 91 some idiots kept throwing whiskey bottles on the stage and Axl just left the show about 4 or 5 songs in, (from what I remember ). Skid Row was the opening act btw
