Greg Gianforte (MT GOP candidate)

I think we can agree a lot of what has been printed in the past few months is of the "let's see what sticks" variety.

If you are alluding to the Russian issues reported on since the election I could not disagree more. The fact that so many Republicans have joined in the call for investigation and are suspicious of Trump campaign ties to Russian spies and operatives suggests strongly that those in the know are aware that this is not made up controversy.

Add to that the fact that Trump has at least three times (that we know of so far) personally reached out to FBI and intelligence officials to try to shut down the investigations is strong proof to me that there is something seriously amiss.

Ironic, coming from the party that calls any news report that dares question them "fake news" or "evil."

LG, even you can admit the "news" right now is greatly stretching everything they can in order to "get the scoop."

Two scoops of ice cream. That's how low some of the major media outlets have gotten.

And this is a non-partisan statement. Fox is just as guilty of raking some over the coals over minutia items.

I hope they get him for orchestrating the Uranium 1 deal. Oh wait....

lol

Proof? And not some random "source" to confirm this?

There are countless rude and annoying jerks on this message board alone, but if I met any of them in person, I'd rather have a beer with em than body slam them. Point being, he never should've been body slammed for doing his job, even if he may have annoyed someone, that should be expecting the question.

I didn't say he should have been body slammed but his politics weren't the reason he was (allegedly). Had he been polite and courteous yet persistent, I doubt anything happens.

Oh, sure, there's a rush to get "the next big story" and the media fight each other to do that. There's a lot of speculation out there, which is why I withhold judgment on anything that a) does not have the ring of truth to it and b) is unsubstantiated.

I'm perfectly fine if all of this Russian stuff comes to naught. Would not surprise me in the least if the conclusion is that, not only was there nothing criminal, but there was nothing even questionable, done.

For now, however, the nagging question to me is that, if that is the case, then why did Trump fire Comey and Yates and why did he try to get the investigation shut down? Just naivete on his part about hos the system works? Could be (and politically that presents its own set of problems). Or because he worries that the investigations are going to uncover something, i.e. he knew Flynn and/or Manaforte were wheeling and dealing with the Russians in a dangerous manner.

What the F. There is no factual proof to back up anything that you have said or anyone else who says that.

The "proof" you speak of is complete conjecture and based on unofficial documents and supposed anonymous sources. Remember during the campaign that "anonymous sources" were saying Trump was refusing to take intel briefs? I saw the interview on CNN. The dude actually said that he couldn't name his source and his source couldn't state the date of the meeting, or the location of the meeting, but he was sure his "source" was correct..lol

So to bring it into terms you'll understand:

I had one of my sources say that LawGator perjured himself during a trial, has been evading paying taxes, and may or may not have a murder room underneath his house which may or may not contain soviet Laotian double agent hermaphrodites..

I don't know what trial, nor have I seen his tax returns, nor do I know where he lives but my source brought me the right bagel order from Panera bread one time so I trust them blindly.

Now just Replace your name with Trump or Trump campaign and throw Russia in there and you literally have the "proof" that the left and the media is running with..

My post was more of a tongue in cheek to lighten the mood somewhat. Don't get all serious.

I still think more folks would enjoy watching a 5'2 girl beat some TSA Agent's ass. Especially if they've ever had to wait in a screening line and dealt with some of those incompetent fools.

I don't know what you're talking about. I must have missed your post on the subject - at any rate, I think she's ridiculous for posting what she did.

You realize he was charged, right?

It will all be ok SF.

Oh, look at you with the always fashionable "snow flake" reference, very clever.

Call me when he gets sentenced to jail, I'll be the first to tell you I was wrong.

He'll get off, bet money on it.

I would have denied that.

Trump has not, and in fact if i recall correctly actually affirmed the initial report on Comey.

But hey, that is what the investigation is for. Maybe you will be proven right and it will turn out none of that ever happened. I'm willing to accept that possibility, and if so let the whole thing go and I will join the bandwagon calling for heads at the NYT and WAPO for reporting it.

What if it did happen? What if it is corroborated by multiple sources? Will you likewise admit I'm right and call for Donny to be shown the door?

Trump himself said in a TV interview that he fired Comey because the Russian investigation was becoming too much. He also reportedly asked two top intelligence officials to drop the investigation into Flynn. Flynn was compromised--he took money from Russian state TV; you don't do that. Trump has been compromised--that couldn't be more obvious. When you spend months verbally praising a dictator, something is seriously wrong. There were contacts between Trump intermediaries and the Russians before the election--we already know that a hacker sent Democratic party campaign information to a GOP operative in Florida. Shoes have fallen and will continue to fall.

As for Gianforte--he's just another conservative redneck who doesn't want to explain his stupid policy positions. He hasn't acquired Paul Ryan's slick ability to lie and tell Americans that a GOP health plan will be wonderful for them when in fact it will be the opposite. He gets irritated when he's called on his bull$hit, much like Trump. It's a tough road for Democrats in places like Montana--where's my gun oil, Bertha--and the deep south, where poor people vote for Republicans who delight in stiffing them. Maybe they'll smarten up one day. Go read some stories about all the recent corruption by state leaders--Republicans--in Alabama.

Have you seen the video from yesterday at the NATO meeting. Trump shoves another foreign leader out of the way--and that is exactly the word--moves in front of them and then peacocks in the Trump way--a nasty moron who thinks he's hot $hit but who in fact doesn't know anything. The Europeans are aghast--as are vast numbers of Americans. Trump is a horrible human being.

A man in power just assaulted another man and nothing happened. He didn't even lose the election because of it. He can use his power to keep from being prosecuted. That's why people are upset.

I agree they should be, but it's not like he's the first politician to break the law, even committed felonies, and get away because of their position.

Is there a link to video of trump saying he fired comey because of Russia? Seriously wondering.

Oh the humanity!

Many of the links embedded in the below link are to Snopes, some are to the conspiracy theorist's personal websites, others are to actual news sites (mostly FNC, Daily Mail, etc).

For the record, I did not vote for Obama in either election. McCain in '08 (despite Palin's nutty ass), Johnson in '12.

So you think conspiracy theories from nutjobs on their own websites about Obama is equivalent to the steady drumbeat of Russian collusion we've been subjected to on the nightly news for the last six months?

All I know about this Gianforte deal is that I was assured by liberal friends yesterday that this was absolutely a referendum on Trump, while conservative friends corrected that false information to let me know that this was in no way a referendum on Trump.

Maybe I was confused, because in this morning's social media blather conservative friends are saying that this was absolutely a referendum on Trump, while liberal friends corrected that false information to let me know that this was in no way a referendum on Trump.
