Greg King

Article in the CA today says this kid has made his mind up. Don't remember the exact quotes and don't have time to link but it made it seem as if he's all Vol!

no, not yet. Still has to visit Auburn. But it sounds good for us. He is still talking about his visit from last week.

another update from scout.com; it is a free article:

- Revolving Coaches Affect Linebacker -
Greg King, the 6-foot-3, 202-pound three-star strongside linebacker from Melrose High School in Memphis, Tenn., didn’t take his previously scheduled official visit to Miami on Jan. 23 because the ‘Canes stopped recruiting him.
“I tried calling them to see what the plan was and they never called me back,” he said. “Miami just kind of stopped recruiting me so I said forget it.

"I'm going down there with an open mind," King said of his first trip to the Plains.

"Tennessee is ahead right now," King said. "I enjoyed my visit there. I just had a good feeling there."

From the Auburn site. King says that Tennessee and texas tech lead, but that Auburn could jump up with a good visit this weekend. He will announce on signing day.

with the kid from Stone mountain coming now do you think we need another backer

Would it be possible for one of the LB recruits to be used as at strong safety? Kind of the Steve Atwater mold (big, good speed, BIG hitter). Someone like King (6'3" 200lbs, 4.5/40), Nelson (5'11" 205lbs, 4.59/40), Tana Patrick (6'3" 215lbs, 4.5/40), Jonathan Evans (6'0" 214lbs, 4.5/40). We would actually have to sign Patrick and/or Evans in their case... Don't know how likely that is..

Linebacker Greg King narrowed down his choices after his visit to Auburn this weekend. King said it's a toss up between Auburn and Tennessee.

"They going at it right now," King said. "Auburn made plenty ground this weekend."

King said he'd announce his intentions Wednesday.

Auburn recruiting: What's the plan, David Oku? ...and we talk to other visitors - The Gold Mine - al.com

Can someone please talk some sense into this kid?

It's recruit talk. King will be a Vol.

If he really has a 13, he won't be getting in. Even if he raises it, it will be flagged.

Why would someone's ability to raise a test score be flagged?? That doesn't make sense. Why the hell would he announce anything if that's the case?? He's got until before the fall semester to raise it, I don't see the problem.
