Like Lane, Monte and Big O said when you come and see this place it's like...wow. And if the coaches had that feeling imagine what King's reaction will be on his first visit. I'd walk him out there in the middle of that "T" by-himself, not mention a word for 15-30 seconds and then say "107K every Saturday and you could be a part of it". Enough said

This kid is 6'3, 200 lbs and benches over 300 and runs a 4.5, wow.
Any guy between 6' and 6'3...190-220 lbs the hit will hurt if he's puttin any effort in it. Any bigger and he can't generate the footspeed, any smaller and he doesn't pack enough bulk to make it stick.

There are some 250 pounders who can flat kill it. I guarantee you that you want Berry hitting you more than you do Julius Peppers or Jevon Kearse.

I've had the chance to watch King a few times when Melrose has played Henry County. He'd be a good fit for Kiffin's D. He's got freakish talent and specs. The one tendency that I've noticed with him, however, is that he's VERY agressive and gets sucked in on Counters/Misdirections. I'm sure that could be fixed, however.

On a side note, Melrose has some great talent. It'd be good if we could land him, considering Eric Watson also hails from Orange Mound. Another player whom we won't get but will be good in college is Tromarcus Toney. He's a 6-2 QB who is a pocket passer but can make things happen with his legs. Surprisingly, there's nothing besides a regular standard profile on him on Rivals. He's one heck of a player - put up great stats on talent-filled Memphis teams. Here's his reg-season stats:

I think King will be too. I am still in the Chavis mode of thinking though. We'll see how Kiffin handles positions.

Nice comments by King on Volquest.... King states he will be meeting Monte and O Monday.

I think he's a vol.

I agree. He states TT is his leader BUT he acknowledges that is the only place he has been. He seems very impressed with our staff and he believes he has a chance to play early, which is a plus. I think he will be pleasantly surprised when he makes his visit to KVegas!!

I understand that he would be a big get, if for nothing else, the fact that he is an in-state guy. My only problem is what i've heard about his lack of dicipline on the field and I've also heard some say that he may not be full go all the time.

Then again these problems are ones that can be fixed with the right coaching, and I believe that "O" is the right coach. So we will see.

I guess I'm really just not as high on him as I am on some of the other guys we have committed at LB.
