There is nothing to get excited about boys and gals. King is highly overrated ! He get alot of publicity because he comes from Melrose ( a school in Memphis with rich football tradition). I wish we could get # 5 Andrew Franklin ( Memphis Mitchell) instead, now he is certified. All you have to do is ask anyone in West Tennessee or the State of Tennessee about him. He led the state in tackles and knockout blows.

because of bs ratings. King has good size and made his shine against sub par teams with 5'6 or 5'9 230 - 265lb linemen. If a lineman from a school like Ole Miss, Bama, or Florida get out front at him, he is good as blocked. All I will say is ,if we get him then don't be bi$ching 2 and 3 years from now ! I have seen him play numerous of times, probably more times than all of you guys on here combined. I don't have anything personal against King, just saying that he is not a UT caliber football player.

Publicity? You think that it has to do with publicity? The coaches see the tapes. They know who can do what. These guys are experts. Plus you have to look at the level of competition players play against. Who has actually offered Franklin? Anyone?

King has offers from Miami, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Arkansas among others. Pretty sure there's a reason why.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and trust multiple recruiters at different major programs' opinion over yours. I mean it is their job and all.

We want to establish the Memphis pipeline to UT, so the more Memphis players, the better (as long as they don't smoke pot and don't skip classes)

Good point... Tech would easily have the best defense in the Big 12 if this kid signs there. So much for his NFL career, but it could help Leach down the road.

Thanks... Anyways, new article on rivals about King. Things look pretty good for us, and I wouldn't be surprised if he commits at the visit. I also think he may be one of the guys who gets bumped to 4-star by the next rankings. Hopefully Schofield and Phillips do too.
